  2. Fantastic paint job Bill! That's make all the difference of the world from the original Christine look. Nice detail on the engine too! Well done sir!!!

  4. Great job Mike! As Scott said, these drag racing cars were from the greatest era because they were looking like their OEM versions. Nice clean build!!!
  5. Nice improvement Steven! It's not everyone that have the guts to drill in the original kit dash to make this kind of work! I personally love this kind of improvement... nice job!!!
  6. Well Justin, you just prove to every one that the talent has nothing to do with the tooling used. You're right about the incredible display of skills shown everywhere on this forum and sir; you're part of them! You have the attention to detail and I like that ... If something good can emerge from these hard times (COVID-19), among other it's the incredible work done by all of you guys and it's a blessing for this fantastic hobby. I'll be back to check your next updates, keep your good work! Thanks for sharing Justin and take care of you, Francis
  7. Hello Charles, welcome to the forum and happy retirement! As I can see you have chosen the right hobby for the incredible talent you have sir! It's hard for me to visualize the size of your current build. The 1/8 scale is pretty large so my current 1/25 model would look insignificant beside this Goliath! You must have a very large inventory of brass and aluminum... I'm jealous!?! Incredible display of skill... Take care and keep doing you good work, Francis
  8. Nice paint scheme Ian! A lot of masking tape (and cutting) in the process has been certainly necessary to achieve this! Cool build so far and it will be easily recognizable among others at the next model car show. Great job sir!!!
  9. I saw what kind of ravages was done by Photobucket on the forum older posts and it's so sad... all those great story ruined forever! Fortunately, there some great new posts running and many (like yours) will act as relief treatment... Keep spinning the wheels my friend!!!
  10. Thanks again Dave! I'm back to work (the real one...) for the next 3 days so I will post more pics next weekend of my latest (very slow...) progress! Take care, Francis
  11. Another great project in the making Kerry! I love what you're doing... you're a seriously good builder sir! Base on what I seen from you so far I think you appreciate vehicles that operate outside paved paths!!! I will check back for your next updates. Take care, Francis
  12. Looks good Daniel! A lot of work on that paint job but the final result is very convincing. Nice job on the taillights, looks like the 1:1 car! Great dead back to life...
  13. Two rare birds Ray! Love the color on both... certainly nerve wracking to drive these on a race track back then! Great job!!!
  14. Nice "Toy"... Very clean rendition of the best drag racing era... Well done Scott!!!
  15. Well Tim, this 6 years old build didn't take any wrinkle! It deserve to be bring back to show how clean and inspiring all your builds are! Spectacular... Take care, Francis

  22. You're right Kurt! There's always a small last detail that need to be done to clear your head! The extra time invested was certainly insignifiant anyway and worth it when you have made all this good work on this build! Well done sir!!!
  23. You are more than welcome Kerry! I'm still working on that thing so more update to come... Take care, Francis Thanks Joe! You give some good shots to your Maverick too my friend! Take care, Francis
  24. Thanks for your kind comments Mike! I purchase most of my tooling on eBay. I was fortunate enough to buy a small storage box full of end mills for a retired machinist few years ago so now I buy the missing sizes to expand my options. Speaking of drills, it is not impossible to break them (the smallest of course ...) but I work slowly with small progress at a time and if I no longer see new chip around the hole, I stop and I clean the bit before resuming drilling. The key of success is "working slowly" and listen to your equipment, you will be able to feel what happen or about to happen... Hope it help and take care, Francis
  25. Thanks for the compliment Kerry! Take care, Francis
