  1. Looking really good! I am following your great progress.
  2. Great sumary of available LS spec engines! One that you did't mention is the one found in the racing versions of the Corvette C5-C7. They are some nice engines and would be nice in any custom build. The C5-R have nice valve covers and a intake that realy is suited well for separate TB and funels. It have al the racing bells and wisels as dry sump and feed pump. Would be perfect in any road racing build or dragracing.
  3. Baby steps on #19. painted the A-arms with the airbrush, zero paints. First time masking more complex parts turned out ok. Also made some rubber and brake dust to the chassis. More dirt will come I guess. Also tried out Valejo metal color Steel, it’s nice but to dark for what I needed here, need to but stainless and aluminum.. layed out nice from the bottle but was a mess to clean in comparison to the stinky paint. and some real word racing references from 1995 in Japan.
  4. Here is the recipe as mentioned above , Porsche 911 GT2 front wheels with a extra deep dish from some “18 Aoshima wheel kit. Rear tires are 225/50R16 ?cut a part to get the width and stretched over a “18 wheel. Front wheels are the rear wheels from the Porsche.
  5. Okay, thanks for the tips will buy a Tamiya smoke and decan it and have a go. ? they are from the Tamiya Porsche GT2, race car have slicks and the street version have some nice meats. Thing is that I used lips from my PB, probably from a aoshima wheel set can’t remember which, and made the Porsche fronts as rears with the lip and the Porsche rears as the Silverado fronts. The tires are a mix, used some tires with enough side wall and cut 3pcs apart to make 2 tires. The front tires came with Pegasus “19 T’s I Can show a picture later when I am at home.
  6. Great work so far! Impressive doing so manny! I have the Revell 32 3w and made several attempts at it but never gotten around liking how it sits. Even had the plan on a top fuel engine in it with fat tires but gave up again some how.. Might need to get the 5w and have a go, more of my taste.
  7. Thanks! Cool! Yes that’s true, like “black chrome” what can I use to get that effect?
  8. Yea that’s it, and you could even build your custom 1/24 or 1/25 with inspiration from an hot wheels. For me a typical hot wheel have huge wheels and colorful paint schemes but that’s just my interpretation of them
  9. #19 JGTC Supra trying to be anonymous.. The tires have been sorted now, 3 Tamiya tires for a 16” rim made the rears to look beefy enough under that fat body. have also made 3 attempts on putting a kevelar/carbon backing on the seats…. We will se how it turns out to morrow when dry. have also scraped allot of body lines.
  10. Exactly! That’s why I also like it. Was watching these two when it came to mind.
  11. Sligthly!! ? that must be beyond repair. At least for me it would be.
  12. Man that looks like a stock car ?? great work really looks more like a stocker! I kind of miss the roof latches they have, would have been a cool detail to notice when getting close! How about adding a nascar style rear wing in corvette fashion, see through?
  13. Never saw the update on this. Looking good! Any progress?
  14. Nice build! Looks really cool and the stance is right! That engine looks at home in there! I assume that is a AMT engine?
  15. Great build! Looks very good!
  16. Thanks m8! I have goten quite far in paint at least. Will try to push the body through prep and maby paint this week. great progress! Look Finnished from here! As I said before, best looking Impala of that generation that I have seen. And it have the right layout! Btw.. I think one of my ‘94 Impala bodys will get the same treatment as yours ?
  17. Beautiful work!
  18. The team have made progress the cage have been rattle can sprayed black so it won’t be seen as well made a huge contrast to the chassis being white on the race car. And they made the masking as easy ass possible and some spaces could not be reached.
  19. Really nice work there! Like the paint!
  20. Hehe nice! Other wise, how would it be if you drill out the "projector" and add a projector light behind it so to speak. Or you drill the grill out, keep the "trim"decal(cut the center out) and add a new net and lights like on a Shelby Mustang. You could also do this for the fog lights as marker lights ?
  21. Looks good, but where are those mandatory “functional” lights? ?
  22. Just beautiful! Incredible build! What diff and rear suspension did you use? Custom?
