  1. I am no expert in any body style and to me both the revel ‘69 Camaro and ‘70 Cuda looks the part. I have heard things about trim issues and sow on, I am just glad it builds in to a nice model of the cars without way to much hassle as I feel there is with the ‘71 Cuda and many other amt, monogram, Revel and Mpc kits. One thing I can’t get in to my head is how the newer tooled kits from the revel brand can have so many problems with fitment in comparison to their Japanese counterparts. Have not tried anything newer from Revell than 2000ish though. Any how thanks for al the input in this matter!
  2. Great progress! Looking forward to this and I know you wilL make it great!
  3. Nice buil!
  4. Wow! Looks stunning! What do you use for cutting your styrene stock?
  5. Nice! Does that kit have engine? I thought it was only Tamiya that had engine.
  6. I just wanted to promote to vote for your favorite build in the CBR thread!! thanks every one!
  7. X3, how hard can it be since they have the 1970?
  8. Beautifull! Loves the stance!
  9. It’s strange but I guess they wanted the engine to really fill the bay. How is it with the engine in the top of my stack, LT5 from Monogram? it seemed to be about the same size as the one found in the AMT kit but much bigger than a LS.
  10. Nice that one is on my list for the future. Probably not next year. Have some Tamiya kits I wanna get first.
  11. This looks good right. :
  12. Ok, so i create this content mostly because i am confused. When building my 1971 Cuda and wanted to swap some other parts to it from other kits i noticed that the Cuda engine is huge. Had to do a comparison on my different available Hemi Engines. From the top #1 Chevy LT5 1/24 as refference. #2 2JZ inline 6 tamiya 1/24 as refference. #3 What i found in my 1971 Cuda kit. 1/24 scale #4 1/24 F/C revell Nitro methanol Hemi #5 Parts box 426 with manual gear box, this engine is most likley from 1/25 1967 revell Charger. Engine L Head L Gearbox L Cuda. 28mm 25,8mm 32,8mm FC Hemi. 23,1mm 22,4mm Revell 1/25. 22,6mm 21,7mm 35,5mm Doing the scale math on the 1/25 revell engine wich i belive to be quite accurate since the kit came out in 2000. A Heami cylinder head should have a length around 542,5mm wich in 24 scale would be 22,6mm wich is close to what the FC Hemi has so far so good. But then the cuda engine is 3,4mm longer, that would be 81mm in 1:1! This makes me come to the conclusion that the Cuda engine actualy is in 1:21 scale. Body wise seems ok being a 1/24. Whats your thoughts on this topic? I will proabobly end up putting the Revell engine in it since it in my opinion looks more right than the original engine. Best regards Anton
  13. Thats killer!
  14. Came out great! A really good work on that beaten up body!
  15. Beautifull build! I have never seen a 1972 in person but it looks very different to the 71 grill wise reffering to your photos. Definitly like the 1971 grill more. Btw, would be posible to CAD the grill you like and print it. If you have measurements of the model and pictures, straight on, side and sow on i could proaboly help.
  16. That looks Great! I have tried making a-arms and such but i might have the wrong tools or real lack of patience!
  17. Nice, i have the first and last kit you reffer to, the 4d have way better interior than the 2d. But the 2d have better looks to me at least Here is some inspo and maby info.
  18. Looking forward to seeing your build!
  19. Got me this real cheap considering what I have seen these go for recently. have to stop watching the auction site now…. also bought this to se how it is and many make a diorama… might have to get me an other race car soon…
  20. I think that i have decided on engine. The monogram ZR1 engine and the AMT one is almos identical in length, just that the Monogram is way better in detail. And if remember correctly.. I already mocked up this engine back in the day for this build. I have two issues though, one head seams to be glued on not straight, and this being a glue bomb engine its not easy to se where it should have gone, but i might use the PE blade and cut them of and glue them back better aligned. O and the serpentine belt is wasted... will have to make some thing about that. I cut the manual trans of and installed a TH400 from the AMT´70 Monte Carlo low rider kit i have, much more dragracing friendly than ZR1 trans. Have also been playing around with the front part of the frame, more on that in an other post when its there. The supercharger in the mockup is equivalent to a Procharger "12 for race use only
  21. Yea prices is crazy on the bay, got this one for about the same as a new Tamiya kit which is a steal!
  22. Nice cage work.
