The Carroll Shelby Thread
Mattilacken replied to Venom's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have not always known who he was and what he have done. My first experience with a Shelby product was the Series 1 that he made. I was a teen at the time and I liked the specs of it not just how it looked. Did PS of it with a viper roof, which a fellow member built in to a model way later probably without seeing the rendering. I did my take on the Shelby series 1 with a wide body, new front, custom hood, supercharged engine with side exhaust, other wheels brakes and tires, racing seats with my first PÉ belts. A fellow builder “Proosen” @ AF found it published in a Swedish mag, as the only car from that show in 2005. Quite a achievement considering the quality of the build that wasn’t the best. But many liked the look of it. I Have a plan to make a similar build in the future. Just some pictures of an altered Shelby.. -

?wow. Just wow! Each part looks incredible! -
Made some minor things to night, mostly cleaning up and sanding putty but some more substantial things.. I have wanted the front to steer.. so I drilled and cut it apart. Need to clean one side up. The far side looks better. The extended fuel Cells should be done now so I think I can start the new cage work.. can some one please tell the builder to calm down and just get on with the build and not integrate new things al the time.

Yes the seats look kind of right, they come from Revell ‘67 Chevelle kit. The dash is as you guessed from C5R since I have one over. -
Looks beautiful! Good work!

Done some small progress. Managed to get the wheels inboard some with some tweeking, hacking of the front calipers and adjustments to the rear hubs. Still not perfect butt getting there. Removed the lift blocks on the rear to lover it, still need to alter the front. the cut caliper. The difference in size. -
