  1. You got that right Carl! Kinda goofy as well but it was still fun to build. Thanks Peter! That is some really cool gold! Found it at the local hardware store and thought I would give it a try. I’m glad I did! It was exactly what I was looking for. That normally only happens for me about 50% of the time when trying new paint! Thanks Dennis!
  2. Thanks guys! Very much appreciated!
  3. Thank you gentlemen for the compliments! It is very much appreciated.
  4. All finished up! I can check the box for 2022 crazy build! Done! Now back to hot rods and classics! Enjoy
  5. Your work on this is fantastic! I am in the process of getting all the parts and pieces together to build Wayne Carini’s 30 Ford 5 window coupe. The amount of info you have laid out here in your build is a great help! Thank you for sharing. Not to mention your build is looking great! Can’t wait to see more.
  6. I see that they still have a model contest at this car show. (Feb 25-27) My brother in law and I used to enter a few builds in this contest every year but haven’t been there in quite a few years. Does Model Empire still sponsor/ put this on? Was thinking of going this year.
  7. Finished this one up yesterday. Basically box stock with the exception of the magneto and plug wires. This is the AMT CocaCola series kit. Fun to build but a lot of modifications to make parts fit! Paint colors are Duplicolor Bright Red and Bright White with three coats of Krylon gloss clear. Enjoy.
  8. Finished! Off the bench and into the display case. Very happy the way it turned out. Glued the front clip open due to it just didn’t line up very well. A common problem with a lot of parts on this kit but overall still, a fun kit to build. More pix in the UG.
  9. Well, a little closer to the finish line. Finished the bed and front clip along with installing the radiator hoses, shocks, rear bumper, and blower scoop. I figured out in a previous mock-up the bed has to go on first to locate the cab onto the frame. Cab assembly will be next. Figured I would give the clear a little more cure time.
  10. Thank Carl! Much appreciated!
  11. Wow! This is a fantastic looking Bronco! Everything you’ve done looks amazing. Very cool idea on the seats! All around very very nicely done!
  12. Got a little progress done on this neat little drag truck. Dash painted and interior assembled. I used some oil based Testors silver for the gage background plate. Much easier than foiling it and I really like the way it turned out! Got all of the decals on, then three coats of clear. More assembly tomorrow.
  13. Wow! This is looking real good so far!
  14. Thank you sir. The red is Duplicolor Bright Red. Letting the paint gas out. I should start applying decals tonight or tomorrow.
  15. Beautifully done! One might say elegant!
  16. Very nicely done!
  17. Very nice! Paint trim look fantastic! Really like the subtle two tone.
  18. Great looking Civic! Paintwork and detail are fantastic! Really like the highlighted panel lines you did. Nice job.
  19. Wow! That is a fantastic looking car. Everything looks perfect! Very nicely done.

Very nice looking build! Paint and the detail look great!
  21. Nice start so far! Definitely can’t get enough of these hot rod builds! Love it!
  22. Lots of paint work today. Scrubbed the molding lines from the cab along with the drip rails, a little cleanup on the front clip as well, all before primer and paint. Next up, interior.
  23. Here is another build I started a while ago that I am finally getting back to. My poor Malibu is never going to get finished! Wish I would’ve took pics when I started this one. The chassis in the kit was originally for a car version so the rear wheel wells had to be cut away for the figment of the truck bed. That was probably the most difficult part so far. Otherwise pretty fun kit to build. Chassis is just about finished though looking at the pics, I noticed I forgot to install the ladder bars! Opps. I’ll getter on. All box stock except for the aluminum magneto and plug wires. Enjoy. Comment’s always welcome.
  24. Looks like a great start so far! I have one of these on on the back burner with a similar plan. This gives me inspiration to dust the cobwebs off of it now! I’ll be following along on your progress.
  25. Progressing along on this one. Fun little build but parts either fit like throwing a hotdog down a hallway or don’t fit at all requiring modification! Oh well who doesn’t love a challenge!
