  1. If I had a nickel for every time I tried this when I was a kid, I could buy more kits! Mine never turned out nearly as good as yours! Nice job!
  2. What a smokin build! I absolutely love that color and flat clear. I just got caught up on your build. Details are fantastic! I made a note of your paint process, colors, and clear because I am definitely going to use this process on a future build. Nice job!
  3. Lots of value! Great looking build so far. Very informative.

  6. This is one of those threads that you have to read several times because there is such a wealth of knowledge and information not to mention an awesome hot rod in the making! Thanks for sharing all of the great details of your build!
  7. I have done it that way myself. Spray a little in a rattle can cap, let it sit until the desired consistency. May take a couple coats.
  8. Fantastic! Your creativity is over the top! Love it!

  20. Thanks Bob! I was looking for paint that was as close to the box art as I could get. That Rust-Oleum purple fit the bill but, yes you are correct, that nozzle was like a watering can! I was surprised at the dry time though. Very quick. Any other products I’ve used from Rust-Oleum seemed to stay tacky for days. That is the big reason I’ve always avoided them. At least bad nozzles I can get around by decanting and pulling out the air brush.
  21. Very nice looking build so far! Your color choices are fantastic. Really like how the grey Engine colors go with the red Engine bay ad the addition of the red in the interior as well. Very nice plug wire work on the engine as well. I saved your pix of that for my own future reference! Well done sir!
  22. Thank you sir!
  23. Ya, I wish they had more info. Maybe I’ll call Model Empire and see. I know when we use to enter this contest, we would bring our cars in on Friday and they would give us a pass to get back into the show on Saturday to see the judging and pick up our cars.
