  1. That turned out great! I think I'm going to use the same kit. Back then, I painted mine Testors light blue enamel, and built it stockish out of box.
  2. Some progress here and there after work. Engine is just about done. Painted with Tamiya aluminum, semigloss and flat black, Testors leather, with Tamiya panel line accent to give it some depth and used look.
  3. I like the idea of this thread. I can't believe I haven't noticed it yet. Hmm...trying to remember some builds from my childhood that I want to replicate...
  4. Thanks. I may keep them. Not sure yet. I remember when they were new and always wanted one. I ended up with its cousin, a Lumina. The 3.1 V6 was a good engine, even with the randomly bad plenum gaskets.
  5. Still plugging away at it. I think I made the exhaust a little too fat, but that's ok (I used sprue, so my options were limited) Also, I can't seem to remember where I put my Tamiya masking tape, so I tried to freehand the frosted areas of the windows (after a drink or two) Didn't turn out too well, so I blacked them out.
  6. Just bought this and opened it. Its actually my 3rd Pontiac of this era. The first one was a factory stock 92 GTP, and this same 90 model turned pro street. I think I want to build this one stock. Other kit wheels shown for mock up purposes. I've always loved these cars for some reason. Never owned a 1:1 though. Never found the right deal. Probably paint it Testors GM dark cherry.
  7. Interior is done and engine installed. Hopefully I can get some better pics tomorrow in the sunlight.
  8. Looks dang good.
  9. I doubt a lot of Hobby Lobby customers have even heard of a Dodge Demon. It's a business and they have to produce what (hopefully) the bean counters assume will sell.
  10. Looks great, and since you mentioned it, yeah, it does like a Chrysler Airflow.
  11. Getting the engine fitted properly. I found that the motor mounts I made interfered with literally every single exhaust header from my parts stash. So out they came. Problem was only partially solved though. Since I wanted the engine set back and low enough to keep the hood stock, the suspension and steering box wouldn't allow any headers either, so ended up cutting and grafting a pair until they nestled in without touching anything.
  12. Back at this one (after it sat about a year and a half) Now it's green. Hopefully I can clear it tomorrow while I'm still off work. Also did some engine fitting. I went ahead and used the engine from the Nova kit, modified to tuck under the hood and firewall.
  13. I like it, nice build.
  14. Beautiful build. I love those era Pontiacs. I've built this kit as well as the SE. They build up fairly easy.
  15. Thanks guys. The body on this one was nice and straight, but the chassis plate had a bow in the middle.
  16. Finally finished one this year. I haven't touched a kit since September of last year. I bought this kit shortly after it was reissued and had almost everything done except body paint and final assembly. Color is Phoenician Yellow, which I found out isn't really yellow lol, still like it though. Mild weathering and built straight from the box.
  17. Nice! I remember seeing a pic of this build in one of those old SAE annuals or what have you, back in the 90s.
  18. Also, the tv car is automatic. I used the block/trans from the amt 70 Monte Carlo in my build.
  19. Thanks! I think I'll buy them when they're out. Looks like a fun change of pace.
  20. I'm interested in their 1/32 Camaro and Nova. Does anyone know anything about them?
  21. Mine is fairly mundane looking. I have another one that'll be more colorful whenever I get around to starting on it.
  22. Awesome build. Love it!
  23. That looks awesome!
  24. Just about anything that has "Revell" printed on the box and produced before the late 80s. Especially the tri-fives. Dodge L700 gets an honorable mention. I had to glue shut the doors on mine as well.
