That's how I knew about it. Apparently, AMT likes to surprise us every now and again.

Nice build. True, you dont see many people build them in white. I had a 1:1. Mine was originally burgundy but someone repainted it purple. I had always loved the looks of these cars, so I bought one. Too bad it was built by GM. Leaky window seals and broken door handles quickly followed after I paid for it.

Good to know. I'll probably start mine once the humidity lowers around here and I can paint again.

I recently picked up AMTs 93 Corvette convertible dirt cheap. I haven't started it yet, but from past experience, the Monogram kits went together well. Cant explain it, but the AMT kit just looks like it will have issues.

I'd like to see that, as I love the looks of those.

A few new Round 2 kit coming out ......

^^^ Also that JD backhoe is really old. Hardly see those anymore. I'd guess anyone interested in construction equipment might want something more modern. I know I would. -
Looks good. Yeah, the hood fit on this kit sucks. I had to grind down the top of the core support to get mine to shut all the way.

I like Tamiya, but can't get it locally. Testors lacquer black is what I use.

I built the Amt Rabbit about 20 years ago. Found it at a swap meet for about $5. The box had mildew and dead roaches in it. It went together very well, and had decent enough detail. Too bad I no longer have it. When I got divorced I took my Jeep, my tools, and my guns. When I went back for my models most were trashed. I'll find another one someday.

Saw one on Ebay a few days ago. $80 buy it now! I know where one is sitting on a shelf for $20. I'm going back to get it next week hopefully.

T.V. car/truck goofs. Mistakes Ect....

Continuity errors drive me insane, but I guess the average consumer doesn't mind (or even notice) But I get it. Some car crashes might push their budget too far, so they substitute. I hate, absolutely hate...movies and tv shows where a cop or bad guy will pull out a Glock and there's a sound effect added. Glocks dont have safeties to click, nor do they have hammers to cock. Also, every outdoor scene in a western US state has a stupid falcon or hawk screeching. -
Following. I always liked those cars.

Thanks! I was going to foil out like the rest, but I decided to be cheap lol

Well it's done, or mostly. Still need to add the rear bumper guards. I also forgot to give the wheels a black wash around the lugs. Not the easiest kit I've built, or my best effort, but the wife is happy. It will go in it's own display case likely to never to be taken out, so some of my boo-boos (like glue on the windshield that I painted over with black to hide) wont be noticed. I didnt spend much time under hood since it will never be opened. Also, the Molotow around the wheel openings looks horrible in the pics, but in person it's looks good. Wierd.

Interesting kit. I saw one on the shelf at a hobby shop last week. I briefly contemplated buying it and putting some nice offroad wheels on it, like from the Revell Wrangler kit. Heck, if it's still there in a couple of weeks, I just might.

Personally, I think it looks dumb, but obviously those who make these decisions know (hopefully) more about their customers than I ever will. Also, I wouldn't turn down a Coke themed kit if the underlying subject interests me. However, I usually dont give them a second glance.

I'm still slowly plugging away at it. I gotta say, R2 really phoned this one in. Nothing fits correctly. Maybe I got a lemon, who knows? Today I'm doing the trim.

That's...really cool.

Been busy with life, but still managed some progress. The interior is mostly done. I painted it with Tamiya semi gloss black and Rustoleum flat khaki. I may redo the carpet in a slightly darker shade as I'm not happy with it being khaki with dark brown overspray. Also, my wife (who wanted this car bad) has decided she wants it inside of a wall display with a 1/25 paper Sam and Dean standing beside it. What that means is that I wasted a lot of time correcting things that will likely never be seen. Had I known, I wouldn't have done and engine/trans swap. The TH/400 is shorter overall than the 4 speed, so instead of fixing the driveshaft, I cheated and added about 1/8" of tubing to the tail shaft. On my kit, the hood wouldn't shut all the way. I didnt test fit before painting, either. I ended up grinding the top of the core support until the hood sat flush. I noticed in the built examples from here and Facebook that the car rides high in the front. Dean's car doesn't. I cut the wheel stubs off of the spindles and remounted them to drop it some, and while I was at it I bent the too-wide tie rod until the wheels were turned.

Looks really good. I dont have one finished yet. I'm doing the first one as the TV car. The second one will get combined with a 93 Corvette I just picked up.
