  1. Any time my friend, I am so happy to be able to help out..
  2. Scott, I’m sure you know but don’t forget to nip the caging bolts off those brake chambers. 😋
  3. Love the B series Macks. I’m squeezing into the front row…….. move over one , Brian 😋
  4. Seems to me the brake chambers and slacks or lack there of is a weak point on these expensive kits. We are in desperate need of good scale brake chambers and slack adjusters with brackets. In this day when we are landing on Mars why do these companies skimp on hollow brake chambers and air bags ? But still charge top dollar for their kits. Hhhmmmm🤔 Well , despite all that , you are doing an exemplary job on this truck. A pleasure to watch.
  5. Those clevis’ turned out just perfect. Great engineering. I would have just bumbled along and cut the pin with little thought of a refit. Great idea of drilling out and pinning to cut. Brilliant !
  6. I love this , its on my to do list in 1/25 scale. Beautiful. !!
  7. This is real modelling. ! Very well done.
  8. Looks great, I LOVE the engine..
  9. They sure are different...
  10. Those are classic paints for sure and that is the exact can style I’m working with. Thanks Lee !
  11. I think both you guys are right. The black and green frame may be too ‘ aggressive’ for the Star but more suited for KW or Pete …. Which will come but for now I need to refine my thoughts. I’m sure it will come to me but for now I’m scratching my head. …… the ‘vision’ is … a very sharp and handsome work truck that is well cares for and an eye catcher ….. you know the ones….
  12. That's the set I had in mind. I think that upgrade will make this build epic.
  13. Photo etch like I did with my Pete, pics for reference not to highjack your thread
  14. Talk about raising the bar ….. it is posts like this with brilliant engineering, forethought and execution that pushes me to keep stepping out of my comfort box and try new things ….. a brilliant piece of work Steve, something I probably would have not thought of or tried…… and you make it look so easy …. A mark of a good modeller. Keep going mate, this is really cool
  15. A p/e grille would look awesome on this build.
  16. I’ m like a little kid with this. I seem to be all over the place with this color choice even though I probably have a month or two to make a final decision , but maybe that bright green frame and black cab would be better placed on a Pete and a more “ show “ style for the Western Star … last night I thought I had it all in hand as I like to plan well ahead, but this morning not so much …….🤔🤔
  17. I LOVE this. Its the same but different Watkins tractor. So used to seeing the red over white , to see one like this is pretty sweet.
  18. Here in Canada , when guys repaint a frame or give a ‘quickie’ paint job to a truck we call that a…… “ 5 gallon overhaul “ ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  19. Ok whats that??? I seriously have never heard that term and no idea what it is. It must be an Eastern thing ???
  20. Another outstanding update ….. just curious … whats a Canadian frame? I’m not being smart , I have seriously have never heard that term ,,,
  21. Here are some ideas I am thinking of.... I am usually very conservative when it comes to stuff like this, BUT...... I REALLY like the last pic of the Kenworth heavy haul with the green fenders and frame...... just something about that..... photos for discussion only....
