It was 94 and 60% humidity in Boston yesterday but thankfully, thunderstorms came through overnight with a cool front in tow. Low 70s and cloudy is on tap for today. I was sweaty as anything yesterday when I got home from a hot school bus but I felt much better after taking a good shower and drinking plenty of water.

I got home from spending the holiday weekend at my lady friend's cousin's home and we had a great time The pool was great and so was his hospitality. Nothing fancy. Just nine civilized adults relaxing and sipping wine.

A thunderstorm is moving through my area at the moment. A Boston weatherman says it'll cause the dew point to drop but the temps will still remain quite warm well into this upcoming July 4th weekend.

Today was the first day of summer camp and it went smoothly. Unlike the school kids, the summer camp kids were well behaved thanks to the staff. Like my boss does with the school bus company, the camp director runs a tight ship.

Nothing irked me today but I planned a two day RR trip out of town last week but last minute changes forced me to can that idea.

Mu humble 2008 Toyota Corolla is my daily ride. Nothing flashy. It's just a good solid little blue collar car that works for a living.

I read a good book recently. However, I'd to read it in front of a fire place with a hot drink on a snowy night while listening to jazz.

My school bus certificate came in the mail today. I'm set for another year of fun. /s

My 08 Corolla has been such a good little car since I bought it from my mechanic back in March that I treated it to a full blown bath at the local car wash today and had the interior vacuumed out.

After 4 days of roasting, the temps cooled and it's 70 and cloudy here in the Metro Boston area. Tuesday was the most brutal at 103 degrees but my AC worked great. It's taking a well deserved break now.

A lady friend called not long ago to extend an invitation to me on a cousin's behalf for a cookout on July 4th that'll take place at his home on the North Shore area of my state near the ocean. He said if I want to, I can stay overnight. I gladly accepted. He even has a pool. 🙂

A 3 day heat wave will be moving into New England starting Sunday. 90s both that day and Monday and it'll top 100 on Tuesday before thunderstorms move in late Tuesday with a cool front in tow.

Today was the last day for the school kids so that wraps up another school year and one of the roughest for me ever. Now, it's vacay time. Oh, the way they ran to the bus after dismissal would put a herd of stampeding Texas longhorn cattle to shame.

I'm off from work today but tomorrow is the final day for school and a half a day at that. I'll be off next week and heading out of town for a couple of days of R&R. A week from next Monday is when the summer camp that my company is under contract with starts.

I scheduled my annual DOT physical for Friday but I switched it to Monday. Friday is the 13th.

I got home from work a half hour or so ago from a long day on the road but TGIF. The school kids have nine days of school left thankfully. After that, A week off and then, the summer camps start. And my 08 Corolla is doing great. 🙂
