  1. Wow Claude, thats one wild and crazy good paint job?
  2. Just looked thru your album Gerry. A whole lotta great looking vehicles there?
  3. Very nice work on that beauty Gerald?
  4. Did you recently get those wheels Michael or have them for a while. Steve Zimmerman last posted on this forum end of last year.
  5. Got this as a Fathers Day present from my Daughter. Owned a 914 2.0 a long time ago so this will be kind of a replica of that car. I always thought a 914-6 would be a super fun driver (the 4/cyl 914 was fun enough except for the lack of power). As was discussed in the past the C-pillar is miss-shaped on this kit so correcting that is the first thing I did. It's pretty close to being accurate. At least its not a glaring issue. I copied a photo, resized it and cut out a template as shown below. The gray that you see is the template. You can see how much of the plastic was removed to get it to an acceptable shape. Any advise for future work on this little guy will be appreciated.
  6. Thats a great color as well a the finish. I like the BB Chevy look but I'm with you on the major mods.... I've never been very successful doing too much.
  7. Thanks a lot David.
  8. Thank you Anthony, Larry and Guido.
  9. Great looking cars, diorama and pictures Mr. Fox?
  10. Bad azz Beetle there Mathias?
  11. Thanks again Buddy? As you know, I'm glad its over with too, Thank you Craig...yep, the color is a favorite of mine.
  12. I finally completed this model after some paint issues and a bout with COVID. I'm not at all satisfied with the pictures but after taking a bunch I said screw it and gave up trying to get what I would consider acceptable (to me at least) so here are a few not too bad ones. If anyone looked at the WIP pics you would see I used Stynylrez gray primer, Createx Gold pearl mid coat and Createx Purple pearl topcoat. Clear is Future. The wheels are Competition Resins (purchased from the good folks at Slixx Decals). The rear tires are N-50 MT's from Fireball Modelworks. Thanks all for checking it out?
  13. That looks really good James. I'm still stuck on the Createx paints as you have been using and I get pretty good results. My friend Bob ("Zippy") just got a great paint job on his current '40 Ford with the Tamiya Acrylic and I'm seriously considering giving it a try.
  14. Thats one great looking color and paint job Buddy!!
  15. Finally done huh Marc. It's one great looking '55?
  16. Oh yeah, I do like the look. The colors were actually chosen because its the colors of my favorite college sports team. The wheels in the kit are actually C4 Vette wheels. These wheels are Competition Resin I bought from Slixx Decals. Thanks David Thanks John
  17. Thank you Alex. I will post pictures in the "Under Glass" but I'm having trouble getting decent pics with my old Samsung S-8 plus phone.
  18. Not yet in "Under Glass". Here is one pic I took of the completed car tho.
  19. Looks great Jason. Really like it in that color?
  20. Well James, in the pic the paint looks just fine. It's a shame Oldsmobile did'nt actually produce that car. With the Buick GNX Turbo V6 it would have been an instant classic.
  21. Looks cool there my Friend. I likes it?
  22. Beeee-utiful GNX Jason and wow thats some shiny paint?
  23. Moving right along??
  24. Oh yeah Craig, I live that black beaty!!?
