  1. The only car I actually street raced and drag raced (LaPlace Dragway in Louisiana and Gulfport Dragstrip in Mississippi) was my '66-325HP/4-speed Chevelle SS. Ran in D/Stock if I recall. A stock car could run headers and stiill be classed in the stock class. I too think any other mods would be a Modified Production car...or Gas.
  2. Well can't say I have ever had an adhesion issue over primer with acrylic paints, craft or Createx.
  3. I do appreciate your input Steve. My paint jobs recently have been Createx pearls and I have yet to perfect the process. Multiple coats of Future does smooth it out tho,
  4. Good to know. I would think a light spot sanding on any minor imperfection would be warrented in some cases.
  5. Yep, they both look great, good job Tom?
  6. I do understand that Steven, it's the color coat before clearing that scares me (the sanding).
  7. Excellent build Alex, I'm sure that took a lot of work?
  8. Well Rodney, that is one clean '29. Amazine how these kits can be made to look so cool. Beautiful color and finish?
  9. No doubt sanding to smooth out the finish is the way to go. My problem is I always seemed to sand too much so I hesitate to do it anymore. My go too clear lately has been Future (I still have some of the old stuff). The number of coats will give you the desired shine. Just my 2-cents?
  10. She's definately a beauty Ryan, great work?
  11. Thanks for the reply Charles. I'm gonna put the Comet I need it for on hold for now.
  12. Very interesting post Robert. I need that '73 Coupe kit (if anyone has one available please let me know) since I had a 1:1 and also a '71 Roadster at one time. I actually had them both at the same time. Before I re-started modelling a few years ago I gave away the miss-printed 429 kit. Regretted that.
  13. I agree with espo, don't remember this post. I hated to get to the end of the page. A lot of old cars in museums don't reach the impeccable level of finish seen in these cars.
  14. I do like that color Buddy!!
  15. Great job in such a short time. Baaaaad looking!!
  16. Great looking GT3 Tony, pretty color and great finish.?
  17. FABRESINS makes/made one. There is a listing on Ebay but says out of stock by the seller that has it posted. It's not a great part but does work with a lot of cleaning up. Good luck Keith.
  18. Hi Charles, was wondering if you have given any more thought to doing the Hilborne injection for the SOHC Ford engine?
  19. Well #20 and 21 looks great bing dark with that shine but others sure look impressive.
  20. Cool idea Mark. I'm a watching!
  21. So sorry for your family. Raven was beautiful and will live on in your memories.
  22. Nice work Johnny?
