  1. Wow, that B-pillar is way off from the real car. To me removing it looks cool. The low stance looks cool but I'm one of those not on board with the super low profile tires. Bujt we all have our likes and dislikes and if you like it, go for it. At any rate Steve, I know this will be a great looking car. Good luck.
  2. So then, WTH is the truth here. What Testors products will actually be out there and how do we find out?
  3. Two builds at a time are plenty enough for me, and thats not until recently when I got anxious to start another one I got as a gift (to replicate a former 1:1 I had). I think I get too anxious to get one finished!!
  4. Not rare, unusual or awe inspiring, but I bit the bullet on the with the HL 40%. Like so many of us on here, sure did'nt need more models ?? .
  5. Thanks Snake, gonna try them out, that Deco pen sure a lot cheaper than the Molotow which I find dulls with age before using it.
  6. Wow Mark, thats's a georgeous Comet. Ya gotta replicate it!!? Hey Tom, can you tell me the source of the engine??
  7. Hey "Mr Snake", can you possibly post a picture of those two products?? Definately sounds interesting.
  8. That #2 car is sure a beautiful race car. That picture for reference is pretty awesome. I didn't realize those rear brake cooling scoops (if that's what they are) were so big.
  9. I like's it Tim, but of course anything '57 Chevy I like. Looks great?
  10. I sure wish someone would produce a '57 Chevy SD, I know it would be a big seller, at least I think so. I know there were resin ones in the past, but not anymore as far as I can tell.
  11. I tried the smoke Tamiya on windows. Didn't look too great with as you say, puddling on the edges.
  12. Great looking undercarriages Tom........you might wanna get a front end alignment on the blue on tho. ? Just razzing you buddy!!
  13. Thats a great post Steve This is a great post Steve, the engine is just spot on!!
  14. Got it Chaz, so go for it buddy!!?
  15. I'm truly blown away by this absolutely unbelievable intricate build. WOW!!!!??? (This one gets 3 thumbs up?)
  16. Mark, is your build gonna have stripes (or a stripe) front to back. If so, decals or painted on. I'm thinking a single stripe down the middle of my '63.
  17. Ditto what Chaz said. Need to test fit to be sure everything lines up.
  18. Don't know what size tip on the Iwata but anywhere from a #3 to #5 is fine. It's all in the thinning.
  19. As a TransAm fan they are all cool cars and as stated before on here I own an '02 now. I bought a new '79 (also black but red interior) back in the day and it was a fun car but with the 403 Olds engine was no hot rod !!!
  20. Tried the Createx and honestly, like craaft acrylic better. Just my 2-cents!!
  21. Go for it Chaz, gotta start sometime buddy!! Look at the tread in"Tips, Tricks and Tutorials". But I gotta say, I do it the opposite. I lay the tape down as a guide first, foil over it, trim along the edge of the tape then peel off the tape. Don't forget to burnish it down good tho.
  22. Looking reeeealy good Alex, very nice job on that interior.
  23. And then the question is, what type of finish do you want? Factory fresh, fresh restored (useally I find in real cars over done as compared to how the real car came out the factory), or used (dirty and or rusty to varying degrees).).
  24. I painted the GT350 with the black Anita's paint. I'm beginning to think it's the best of the craft acrylics, and pretty sure actually the cheapest at HL.
  25. Wow Burke, 8 hours?? Painted too? Look great!?
