  1. Huh!!! And how many times have we stuck our fingers together using super glue?? Just yesterday for me!!
  2. Great job on it Chris!! Sharp looking 60's truck?
  3. Since I started this crazy thread, might as well add today's you know what. Just happened. The nag Mustang. I posted a while back asking how to get decals off (after they were noticeably crooked) All suggestions failed so the only way I could get them off was to sand them off requiring complete new paint. So just a few minutes ago, decals on (and actually straight), had the body laying on its roof on a cotton cloth, gluing the rear window in. I picked it up and WTH, one of the roof stripes is laying on the cloth, and it's torn. ? And by the way, since it's GT350, those freakin' quarter windows that are actually too small for the opening are a real pain. I'll be sooo glad to get this one complete.
  4. And this is the kind of stuff we can learn (or take) from this thread!! Some of us will never really learn tho. Keep em coming folks?
  5. Wow, that transmission with shifter is incredible!! Where can we get these parts??
  6. Any more progress on this one Robert??
  7. Sooooo much detailing is mind boggling to me!! Great work as always Marcos.?
  8. Looking great......again!!?
  9. Looking great Alex, I love that model (the car and the kit)?
  10. Good to know about the "chrome silver". I had used about a half a bottle and for fear of not being able to get it again, went to HL and got the last one in the rack.
  11. Right on Thomas!! I have completed about 17 models since I re-started doing them, and I'm pretty sure not a single one was without some issue......and it just keeps happening!!
  12. When I first started this thread it was for me to rant about my frustration. Then I changed the title. I'm glad I did, some great stuff (well maybe not actual issues) being posted. I'm with you on morning coffee thing. My everyday routine is get up, drink my coffee in my recliner as I check emails and then pull up the forum. After lunch, usually, I modelling time. Today's attempt to "screw-up" something is to see what to do to correct the clear deeeeezazter?
  13. OHG Kurt, probably not tooooo bad, how the heck did that happen? As they sometimes say, s***t happens?
  14. Well honestly, It's one I'd call DONE!! Looks mighty good to me Kenneth!!
  15. Well I did mostly fix the glue smear I mentioned earlier by light sanding, compounding and polishing. Not perfect but not too very noticable. Robbed parts off another similar kit I had for the lost one parts, but of course when I build that one I'll be missing parts. Oh well. As for the clear "screw-up", haven't tried to correct yet. It just makes me so freakin mad since the base coat came out so good?
  16. Hey Tennessee neighbor!! I think it will be pretty interesting and informative. Heck, maybe we can learn by other mistakes here.
  17. Yeah Snake, I tend to get heavy handed when spraying rattle can stuff. I really like the shine on the Rusto Clear but it's so darn thin. The last 2 times I sprayed it the temp in my garage was around 65 degrees. Yesterday it was almost 75 so I guess the paint was thinner. Maybe need to refrigerate it LOL!!
  18. Changed the title as suggested. And oh, I did lose a headlight lens and parking light bezel on the same model I smeared the glue on. And on it goes?
  19. Due to my resent mess-ups I'm thinking we need a "what did you screw up today" thread?. And here's mine for yesterdays. Sprayed craft acrylic on (un-named model for now), and did a beautiful almost flawless job only to totally blow the clear coat. I used the Rustoleum Crystal Clear Laquer that I have had great success with. And ya might know, sprayed it too heavy and got sags on one side and what is probably crazing on the other. Then later in the day, glueing grill in car that I had to repaint (another mess up of course). The grill fit fine before I did the repaint, and ya might know, it was a tight fit and in the process of fighting with it, I got a glue smear on the top of one fender. I guess something to be said about test fitting here. Oh well. Not the first mess-up's and sure won't be the last. Thanks for "listening" to my rant for the day.
  20. The sedan delivery is really cool Sam, I like's it!!?
  21. Great start on that "Beamerman". Nice looking 396 engine?
  22. I saw that on Hemmings also Richard. At first glance I thought it was a 60's T-bird.
  23. Smoooooth looking Nova Jim. Great job?
  24. The weathering is phenominal Roman!!?
