Getting some detailing done on the underside today. The basic underside has these sort of cutaway floor pans at the front corners and there's no real reason for them to be there as the kit kind of relies on the tub being the floor pan/firewall in that area. So I cut them out to where the crossmember runs and then painted the bottom of the interior tub and firewall to look like it merges with the floors. It's not great but I'm happy enough with it. I know, modifying the interior tub's firewall to be part of the floors, or even scratch building some floor pans to the firewall would look so much better, give me time, those builds will come, haha! I've made a start on the body, making the trim lines for the vinyl roof. My usual method, a few coats of high build primer between two strips of tape placed extremely close together. I'm trying this Tamiya tape made for tight curves, it's great, especially around the rear window panel as it curves to the C pillars, sticks nicely too.
