  1. Great classic looking build. I like the exposed roof slats.
  2. I love these builds. It's nice to see the more unusual kits and you build them so well. The green 2715 reminds me of the Bedford HA van I had in the 90's for my window cleaning rounds, brush painted the same green using a tin of gloss from B&Q! I wish I had a picture of it, looks almost identical.
  3. That's a classy looking Buick, love the colour. I quite like the headlights, reminds me of the jewelled headlights in my Corgi Toy cars when I was a kid. I loved those things.
  4. Man, that looks good, it almost looks like a painting!
  5. Sounds like some major surgery went into this, you done a stella job!
  6. Thanks, Tom. To banter and good times:) Cheers, Gerald. Thanks, Bruce. The time has flown by, can't get 2020 over with fast enough! Thanks, John. Thanks, Thomas. I have another Fairlane in the pipeline, a station wagon this time. Cheers, Doug. Yeah, similar patern with me. Lost interest in kit building in my teens when I learned to drive, life, kids, work etc, twenty years later the world falls apart and I sudenly have time on my hands and here I am, Lol. If you told me last year I'd be building plastic kits and posting them online I honestly wouldn't have believed you! Thanks, Larry. Thanks, Geoff. I am starting to take my time a bit more now, my early builds were very quick and dirty. Cheers, Misha. Yes, lots more to come in the new year! Thanks mate, I'm chuffed you stuck around and came along for the ride. Thanks, Mike. I just need somewhere to put them now, haha. I think a certain new piece of furniture will be replacing the sideboard next year! Thanks, Dave. I've always been fascinated with American iron since I saw a black 1960 Cadillac regularly pass my home when I was about eight years old, it was like seeing a spaceship! This site has definitely inspired me to go the extra mile when it comes to detail. Thanks, Nigel. Yeah, I too love the cars of the 70's. I wish there were more land yacht kits out there, I'm not the only one so hopefully Round2 is listening! Thanks, Chang. Yes, one of my favorites too, it's the Electra 225, I think the LeSabre was the base model. I enjoyed this kit so much I did two of them. Cheers, Chris. Yes, the T-Bird was a big hit, despite how uninspiring it was on openning the box, it turned out to be a real gem that kit! Thanks, Mark. Thanks, Alan. Yes, it can be difficult to get right, even after researching countless pictures and receiving input from forum members I still get it wrong, haha! I'll definitely be giving a hotrod build a try in the new year. Indeed! I actually forgot a couple of builds I did until I started gathering pics for this thread, Lol! I did the Peterbilt and trailer about the same time I was building the '57 Fairlane. The trailer is just called "Semi Trailer" by AMT, I know nothing about big rigs so it was good enough for me, Lol. There's more pics in the BigRig completed section of the forum. Cheers, Bob. Yeah, the forum has been a huge inspiration. Thanks, Donald.
  7. Beautiful collection there. I remember watching your Pontiaclambo build, that thing is a work of art. Following the construction in WIP was a real pleasure to see as it took shape. Looking forward to seeing what's comeing in the new year!
  8. Cheers, Chris.
  9. It's Christmas day tomorrow and the new year is around the corner but I may be able to squeeze one more in before the year is out. This is the '66 Buick Wildcat by AMT, it's an old mould with solid axles, low parts count and one piece underside, for the age of the kit it looks very good. Some basic test fitting of pieces seems to be all fine and there is no flash whatsoever. Lots and lots of extras in this kit! It can be built either stock, show, or custom. I might actually do custom with this one but the colours are most definitely going to be white body, black interior, with... burgundy red vinyl roof, ooh yes!
  10. A nice variety of builds there, I'm loving that Beetle bug, very nicely done!
  11. That's a pretty mean looking station wagon, very nice work.
  12. Nicely detailed, especially the interior. Very nice build and the colour looks pretty sweet.
  13. Nice variety of builds there, I love the trailer with the engines on display. Nice work.
  14. Thanks, mate.
  15. Very nice, I love these '49 Fords.
  16. Very nice looking build.
  17. wow, that looks nice! Excellent kit bashing, and I really like the mini moons on it.
  18. Always nice to see that Golf, very nicely finished. Don't think I've seen the tractors before, they look amazing!
  19. Beautiful paintwork, very nice builds there. That trailer is great, I like that.
  20. I really like the pick-up, and the plane is sweet. I built a few Airfix planes when I was a kid, they used to sell them in the market for like £2, they were fun to build I remember.
  21. Nice builds, I like the damage on the older cars. I don't have the confidence to do that to my builds yet!
  22. Before I joined the forum in July I hadn't build a kit since I was a teen in the early 90's. Over the last six months I've built more than twenty and each one gets a little better than the last, I definitely have you guys to thank for that. You've all helped me to build the models you see here. From tips and tricks, knowledge on trim and colour combos, criticism, and even thread hijacks! xD This forum is amazing, always good company and I look forward to seeing what everyone has on their workbench for 2021! Merry Christmas, guys, best wishes to you for the new year.
  23. I love these old Falcons, nothing over the top about them but they always look good in any form, whether it be a base stock run-around or a full on gasser.
  24. The Squad Rod actually looks really good! Strangely, less controversial than a vinyl roof!
