    My 2020

wow, extremely nice builds. I love that Edsel, beautiful colour scheme.
  2. Lots of different and interesting builds there! My favourite has to be the Fiat from Lupin III, and the Galaxie from MIB3.
  3. Beautiful looking build. These 80's Buicks look so sharp.
  4. Looks great. Looks like most red cars over ten years old where the paint has faded with age. I had a red Ford Fiesta years ago, it faded so bad it went past pink and eventually turned grey!
  5. Thanks, Mike. Yeah, I wasn't sure where to go with this one, so I just threw some decals on it and some fat meaties on the back and called it done.
  6. That's going to look cool. I love the Javelins.
  7. Thanks, guys. I was going to go with the custom front and rear panels and do an out of the box custom, but the custom hoods left huge panel gaps and didn't fit well at all. The stock wheels are no good either cos the wheel backs push the rims out due to how skinny the tyres are. Having no mirrors and being such a basic kit I thought it would look too plain box stock so wasn't sure where to go with it, so I did a mild custom just to jazz it up a bit. It worked out great, I'm glad you like it:)
  8. They wouldn't accept him on the dirt track because of his vinyl roof, "You can't race that thing here, your roof is too fancy" they said, so he took to the drag strip and managed to sneak by the officials who didn't notice his fancy vinyl roof until it was too late, by then he'd earned 152 NHRA Pro Stock national events and made a name for himself, they called him "The Gate Crasher" xD This is the 1966 Buick Wildcat by AMT. A very basic kit with solid axles and one piece underside, it doesn't even come with mirrors or brake master cylinder, but does come with a lot of custom parts including three different hoods, bucket seats, and front/rear custom panel options. I decided to go the stock body rout using some of the custom parts, side exhausts, slick rear tyres, and out of my spares tin I used some hubcap delete steels. The configuration doesn't make any sense, stock exhausts with side pipes that don't go anywhere and a stock engine with air filter powering a set of drag slicks on the rear! You can't really build an accurate drag or race car with this kit without major modifications so I just had fun with it and slapped on some custom parts and decals. I did modify the firewall with some body filler so it looked part of the floor pans rather than two separate pieces, other than the steels from my spares it's out of the box using what's in there. So there you have it, a basic yet fun build that looks pretty cool whether stock or custom. It doesn't have to make sense, it just has to be fun and that's what I had:)
  9. All done! I had some fun with this one, I'll post more pics in under-glass.
  10. Thanks, mate. Yeah, I've heard it's like floating on air driving some of these old land yachts, all they need is a coffee table and foot stool, haha.
  11. Yes, I love the Cragars and Keystone type wheels too. I just finished this one and decided to go with the big fatties on the rear, I'll keep the whitewalls for something more stock. I'll post in under-glass soon.
  12. Looking good so far. I tried making a stock ambulance when I was a teen using the Ghostbusters Ecto1. It looked rubbish, Lol. No internet back then so couldn't buy the bits I needed, it just looked like a stripped down Ecto1!
  13. Interior finished. Only small jobs left to do now, I should have this finished tonight.
  14. Getting some BMF done today. Underside is finished and engine fitted, just deciding now whether to use the stock wheels or still go with the red steels.
  15. Stunning builds. My son is getting into these Fujimi and Aoshima kits, he's not too keen on the old AMT stuff. Kids, huh, lol.
  16. Looks great. I've built this kit a few months ago and I think I did a dark red interior too. It's a nice kit to work with, though I had a heck of a time with the radiator support so I left it out on mine.
  17. I've always wondered about this kit with it's complex roof and how much of a nightmare it would be to build. You'd never know to look at it the fit issues it has. You done a sterling job on it mate, very nice looking build.
  18. That actually looks pretty good! It has a kind of Lotus Europa thing going on.
  19. Man, I like that! Some beautiful work there, stunning detail.
  20. Thanks, Kurt. Yeah, I loved the Grand Prix kit.
  21. Thanks, Les. My elves don't help me at all, they just hide small parts from me! xD
  22. Very nice colour. Love the Galaxie 500's.
  23. Amazing work. I love those Internationals.
