  1. Thanks, Steve.
  2. Yes, the gap between the windscreen and dashboard is still there on mine so is still an issue, but there's enough space between the chassis and interior tub if you can't fix it. I left it as is when I found trimming the firewall fixed the ride height. Even if the tub fitted correctly, the firewall will still need trimming.
  3. A quick shot of the engine bay. Note the battery is too big to fit on the radiator support, it hits the front light unit, so I had to put it on the inner wheel tub.
  4. ah, ok. The 1989 release of the 64 Impala by AMT comes with a set of wheels that look exactly like those.
  5. Thanks, David. It's a nice stress free kit to build. A heads up if you decide to build it. The interior tub didn't push up all the way around where the dashboard is which made the car sit too high at the front, or so I thought. I took it apart last night to see if I could fix it and turns out it's actually the firewall. Shave some material off along where it meets the floor and it'll sit right.
  6. Anyone fancy building that version from the Revell 2CV kit?
  7. Found some other versions of this kit. I like the high rise dragster, probably what that strange axle in this kit was once for?
  8. Thanks, Jim.
  9. Picasso inspired. Looks like one of my early kit builds!
  10. Thanks, Eric.
  11. Nice build. I like these Revell kits. I recently did the Chevy Nova Yenko.
  12. Thanks, guys:) I need to practice my foiling cos the chrome paint on the trim never stays chrome for long, it always turns grey after a while.
  13. Looks good to me, I like the colour combo. The wheels don't suit it if I'm honest, but the car itself looks great.
  14. I like the colour combo. Those wheels look great, I used the same ones on my 64' Impala.
  15. Organised chaos. That's how it's supposed to look, how would you find anything if it was all neat and tidy? xD
  16. Thanks, Michelle.
  17. Posted in the right place this time! Just completed the Pontiac which took about three days. The kit gives the option of building a custom pick-up so there are a few parts left over, some of which seem to be for a completely different kit. It also comes with a sweet little miniature box! I painted up the tool box and fire extinguisher because what classic car owner wouldn't have a tool box! I love these old promo style kits, they're probably my favourite kits to build and I love how this one turned out. Will definitely be buying this one again so I can do the pick-up version.
  18. These were always a good looking car. i like the engine detail!
  19. ah, I just realised, there is a separate section to post pictures of the completed models. If the mods want to move them from here that's fine.
  20. Yes, and the kit comes with a tub and a score line to cut the body. From pictures I've looked at, the rear door looks not too unlike the Ecto 1 kit. If that's so, the only hard part would be building the roof.
  21. Thanks. I could maybe use part of the roof from that kit, though it looks very different from the Ghostbusters ambulance. The side glass and frames are very flat so wouldn't be too difficult to make.
  22. Thanks. Those are nice. Wouldn't mind building those years to add to the collection. I'll definitely be getting another 1970 because I saw an ambulance version on Google images which I would really like to try building. This kit has a lot of the work already done with the pick-up parts. I just need to scratch build the body!
