Thanks, guys. Here's the little trophy car that came with the kit, it's unbelievably tiny and you have to build the lower half yourself! There's also an elephant and car jack in the kit, I just had to paint them, lol.

Just finished the AMT Buick Electra. Very nice kit to build, apart from the body being from a very badly worn out mould, it went together ok. Paint was a bit of a headache because the colour I used has a bit lilac in it, so finding something that matched the interior was a bit of an experiment with different colours before finally settling on a shade similar to that of the exterior. I accidentally polished through the paint in some high spot areas and when I went to get some paint to touch them up I found the paint is no longer available. Luckily, the colour of the interior is close enough to hide them, though you might be able to see it around the headlights. I'm useless at silver foiling so was stuck with the chrome pen to do the trim which isn't great but better than my foiling, trust me, lol! The only mod I made was a gear selector window for the steering column. Enjoy the pictures:)

Thanks, guys. Yeah, the black parcel shelf and dash just didn't seem to work.

Regular car body filler works for me. You can also use a finishing product called "stopper" for fine pin holes. -

Still, a nice build. Some of the models I've done have been such a pain I've left some things that could have been done, so I know what you mean! haha,

So, as is the case when I build a kit, plans change half way through!,haha. I decided to change the interior colour slightly. The parcel shelf and dashboard top was black but I just wasn't feeling it. I trial fitted the tub in the car, I looked at it from different angles and kept trying to convince myself that it's fine, but it was no good, it needed changing, Lol. It's a very close colour to the exterior. I couldn't find the paint I used on the body, it's been discontinued! ..which means I can't touch up the marks on it from where I rubbed through when I polished it. Oh well, it'll have to do.

Thanks, Rusty. After you get passed the bad moulding it's a really nice kit.

I've settled on a white interior with black dashboard top and parcel shelf but it was still a bit too white in there, so I took a chance on some silver accent in the seats. Just got the door cards to do now, and some chrome trim detail then the interior tub is finished.

Looks nice. I've always preferred these over the 911.

Nice. The decals look great! I'd break a sweat fitting decals that big, haha.

Looks great, definitely worth the effort. The grill could do with some blackwash or colour, otherwise it looks fine to me.

I like that. Those 50's 60's futuristic concepts were fascinating. The world tomorrow, today!

Stunning. Those wheels and tyres suit it nicely.

Very nice, I love that green one! I've always preferred that design of the Charger.

In the kit is a miniature car which is part of the trophy. There's only half a car, you have to build the other half! It even says in the instructions to build the rest of it from scratch, it's Tiny, with a capital T! I'm up for a challenge so I started scratch building the rest of the little car, It's hilarious! Has anyone here ever built this? or even bothered to! It's a huge amount of work, even cutting it out of the sprue was a task.

Small update. Paint is pretty much done on the body, though I have to touch up some areas where I've rubbed through from cutting and polishing.
