  1. oh, I didn't notice the headlight bezels are the same colour! I thought it was reflection. Thanks, I'll be sure to do those, might even have to do a bit of filling as the outer bezel looks part of the car.
  2. Nice build and good job on the paint. Very nice.
  3. wow, this is another level! Individual linkages, print on the belt, I'm done!? haha,
  4. Yes, I love the pastel metallics from back then. Difficult one this though. The main colour I chose has a hint of lilac in it which has made finding an interior colour that suits a right headache! Green doesn't work and blues are too blue. Any lighter on the blue and you start getting into silvers and greys. From the picture Steve posted above I think I'll go with black accents with the main colour being white.
  5. That's cool. A lot of work went into that!
  6. I've always shied away from the drag/custom cars, but I've been wanting to build one for a while now. Looks good, man, really nice!
  7. Beautiful. I do like those colours, and the custom grill is pretty sharp! The green tinted glass works well, it's hard to make them look right in any build.
  8. Nicely detailed kit that. Paintwork looks smooth as glass!
  9. Mean machine! That's some nice engine detail.
  10. Looks like a real size car! Paint is top notch, very nice.
  11. That's a nice build! I like that you can see the red brake drums behind the Cragars. Small details like that make all the difference.
  12. Nice build, looks just right.
  13. This Joker character has some good taste in cars. haha,
  14. Cragars work on everything! ?Looking good!
  15. I'm liking that! I'm torn though between the black and the light blue you suggested, both suit that colour nicely. Maybe it's the white roof? I was/still thinking of doing the roof white.
  16. Thanks, Steve. I did paint the car metallic green and absolutely nothing suited it, so decided to change it to a light blue. I still couldn't decide on an interior colour so I took the easy way out and went with white, lol. I'll probably paint the seat inserts a dark silver.
  17. Yeah, that trim line on mine split into two like basket weave! I managed to sand it to where it looks like one continuous line now.
  18. She's coming along nicely by the looks of it. Seems to be one of those weeks regarding kit builds. The Buick I'm working on now needed so much carving and sanding I might as well have built my own injection mould and popped a new one out myself, Lol!
  19. Looks great. The idea of using the beads for the steering wheel and shifter works well.
  20. Hi, Robert. Just joined myself, and like you I haven't built a kit in years until recently, mid 1990's to be exact! Welcome to the forum.
  21. Yes, that peak that runs along the top of the wings was stepped so badly the only way I could get it right was to sand it off! I tried re-shaping the peak but I could only do so much before I risked sanding through completely. That chrome trim on the side I just about managed to save. It split into two trim lines just above the rear wheel arch and merged back into one along the door. It's a seriously worn out mould.
  22. We have a rolling detailed chassis! No issues so far, the kit is going together pretty well but I'm struggling to find a colour for the interior that suits the body.
  23. Nice. I've been wanting to build the convertible of this by AMT.
  24. It was pretty bad, Lol! Despite the mould quality it's a really nice kit. Lots of custom extras and even the option to build a convertible.
  25. Nice custom! Good job on the sun visor.
