  1. Very nice. Paint looks clean and tidy.
  2. Some nice stuff on there. The long wheel base conversion would be a cool build. I remember a video rental van doing the rounds when I was kid, it was a Mk2 Transit long wheel base panel van. I remember exactly how it looked with the primer patches on the door bottoms and the different colour rear wheel arches. I might look more into that one. Thanks, Les.
  3. My problem, and a lot of others I'd imagine, is that nearly all cars that have a kit version of it are super expensive. Being from the UK makes them even more rare, so, I'm screwed over twice, Lol.
  4. I'd be interested in that! Do you have a link?
  5. Thanks, Mario. Yeah, they take up a lot of space, but man, I just love semi cab builds. Thanks man.
  6. My first ticket was quite late in my driving life, I was maybe 27 years old or there abouts. I had a 1974 Vauxhall VX4/90 that always felt underpowered for the car it was. I had a mechanic buddy look at it and the timing was way way out, so he set it up right and adjusted the carburettors. Whoo whowho!! I flew out of the garage spinning wheels and loving the torque! I got a few hundred yards up the road, not even a mile, then I seen the flashing blues in my mirrors! xD I explained basically what I just wrote here and he was pretty cool about it, but still wrote out an £80 fine for my momentary fit of pure enjoyment! He did let me off the hook for not wearing a seatbelt though, so I can't complain really. haha.
  7. I find if you load the tip up after using it it'll be fine next time. It can dry out in the cap otherwise.
  8. I enjoyed looking through those T's, what a great collection! Nice builds, man, really nice!
  9. Nice colour. I love these 420's. Would love to see Airfix redo some of the other models they had.
  10. Thanks guys. Yeah, the headlights give it a very different look. When I seen a picture of the real thing, and knowing I had a set of headlights just like it, it had to be done! haha. The pinstriping and masking the colour scheme was more difficult than lowering the cab. Very enjoyable kit though. Here's a link to the completed build- http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/169840-brbo-2022-gmc-astro-95-export-version/
  11. It's an awesome kit and you done a beautiful job with it. Really nice.
  12. Yes. I have that one. It's probably the only car I've owned that has something close to it in kit form that I might be able to work with. Converting it to a four door will be the most involved part. It's the XR-4i kit, but it is a Mk1 like I had so is definitely a good starting point. I just need to build up the courage to get it out and start cutting it up.
  13. My point being... that, yeah, kits should come with correct stance.
  14. C'mon now, stance is easily fixed with a skilled hand, xD
  15. Beautiful detail and I love the colour scheme. Looks great hooked up to the trailer with matching livery. Very nice.
  16. Thanks Dave. Yes, me too, I love the Chargers. This is my forth Charger build. I have a '71 build coming up that I'm looking forward to as I've never built one.
  17. Thanks Brian. Just scribe around the panel line and clean up the edges with some fine sand paper. I did end up scratch building the vent door as my blade was too wide when I cut it out, but it's just a bit of flat styrene.
  18. Thanks, James. There were a few in Europe, and even some registered in the UK. Here's a link to some of what I read- https://www.trucknetuk.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=118895
  19. I just want there to be a universal standard for working wheels that don't wobble, jam up, or seep glue down the axle pins. Apart from axle through engine I don't think a single model company has figured out a better working design, Lol.
  20. That's beautiful, I love everything about it. Stunning colour, very clean work and nicely photographed.
  21. This is my export version of the GMC Astro 95. I didn't plan on doing an export specific build but during WIP I found a pic of one with an awesome paint scheme so decided to go with it. Cab was lowered which involved quite a bit of work. Wiper arms are scratch built and the rear wheels were modified to close up the gap between the tyres. I also levelled the engine a bit so it didn't look like the gearbox mount had just let go! A couple of the unique features are the rectangular headlights and driving lights in the bumper. I couldn't make an exact copy as the kit doesn't have the parts. Thanks for following in WIP, I always enjoy these big rig builds, it's finding a space to put them is the problem! lol.
  22. Yeah, even if there's no mould of the car, at least in the States, there are options to chop up similar cars and get a very close representation. There's nothing even close I could use to create any of the cars I've owned, especially in 1/25 1/24 scale. There is a Ford Transit in 1/24 scale that I used to have but mine was the Mk1, different front end and dashboard.
  23. All done! I was up late last night getting it finished and then added some final detail this evening. I messed up on the grille while trying to blackwash it. The chrome wore off and I tried to Molotow all the vanes... impossible!! Lol, it was a mess. So I had to paint it all black and just Molotow the outside trim. I'll post more pictures in completed section tomorrow when it's light.
