That's nice! Love the colour, those wheels look nicely detailed too.

Nice clean look and lovely detail. Gonna have to get me one of these, they look so cool.

That's a rugged looking beast, very nice. I watched the Roadkill Charger being restored by Chris Birdsong on YouTube. That guy could build a Charger out of thin air, I tell you!
-
Nice work on both. I really like the red '56. I'd love to build a model of some of the cars I've owned but no such models exist.
-
Lovely colour. I'm liking those wheels too. The '67 Impala is such a good looking car.

Man, that's a beautiful Buick! Stunning colour and those wheels are well suited. Nice clean build, very nice indeed.

Thanks guys, I didn't expect so many comments so soon, Lol. I need to log on more often so I can reply! The colour of the paint is called Pacific Green Metallic by Hycote. I did the whitewalls by mistake! As I was doing the last wheel I realised they should be redlines, it was one of those "awe, s**t!" moments! Lol. I might redo them later. I also forgot to black out the rear light panel, but I doubt I'll fix that without redoing the foil and removing the lights and bumper.

Thanks mate. Despite the flack this kit gets for it's fit issues it's a good basis for kit bashing.

Despite the fit issues and simple parts on this old MPC kit it's one of my favourites. Just correcting the fit issues can produce a decent looking '69 Charger from this old mould, but it's always fun to go a little further! I opened the trunk and scratch built the floor in there, steering and suspension scratch built, and I added a few details under the hood. The hood is from the '68 Revell Charger.. and yes, the trunk stripe is also for a '68 but it's all I had.

Beautiful looking T Bird. Love the white and red combo, those two colours are always a winner. Nice work on the dash clocks too.

One tough looking truck! I like the colour combo. -
Gorgeous colour and very clean trim work. My first ever kit was a 1970 Olds 442, I think it was a Jo-Han. Seeing these always stirs good memories of the model shop I bought it from. Very nice work on this.

Very nice work. Love the colour with the vinyl roof, and the interior looks superb!

and just like that, she's done! The paint had cured enough to handle just a day after painting. After I got done foiling I added the glass and buttoned it all up. Yes, the trunk decal is for a '68 but that's all I had. I'll post better pics tomorrow in Underglass when, hopefully, the sun is out.

Thanks Chaz.

Now that's some scratch building! I'll be watching the progress for sure, very nice work. Love these old 70's Lincolns too!
-
Painted up the body last night. I'll leave the paint cure for a day or two and then I'll start foiling the trim.
-
Thanks guys. Engine bay and chassis detail all done. Some of the bits I added: heater hoses, fuel line, washer bottle, rear shocks, and a parking brake cable.
-
Interior is done. I've gone with a green interior, green body(to do) ,and white vinyl roof! The stripe on the trunk will be white.

Yeah, I love this stuff. The way I see it is, there's a kit for every type of model builder and what type of mood we're in. I like to build a well detailed Revell too, where I can just "glue and go" and then sometimes I fancy a project like the MPC Charger where I can add my own details. Fit issues can be a pain, but if you approach them as a project rather than a build it's not so bad. I'd get board pretty quickly if all model kits were so highly detailed that all I had to do is just glue them together. It's nice to take on an older kit sometimes and do something with them, it's a different type of building.

Made some arm rests for the doors. That's about it for the mods. I think I'll move on to paint next. The mods are getting to feel a bit tedious now and I don't want to put this back in the box to be finished twenty years from now!
