  1. It's rare to see an 80's Nissan pickup, this clean, just a nice little truck. Tried to grab a quick snap while driving. Pic 2- I guess that's one way to carry a surfboard!
  2. Spray bombed Chevy truck at the beach earlier today.....
  3. Looks like a 1927 Chevrolet Coupe. Ironically, I was sorting old family photos last night & ran across this shot of my great grandfather with his 1927 Chevy Coupe.
  4. This was waiting on me when I got home. Looks very good! Will order another one for sure.
  5. '64 Fairlane & Baja style Beetle in the next town over.
  6. I made dividers for my camera bag with thick styrene sheet wrapped in cloth & velcro. Just took an ordinary backpack camera bag and made dividers to fit my equipment. Lenses, filters, shutter cable, etc all have their own place and they stay in place. Normally the bag comes with these dividers, but this was a clearance item with them missing. Also made a change holder/tray for the console of my car. Wrapped the styrene in felt the same color as the console box of the car.
  7. Mine had this sign up. Even though they bamboozled me on the kits, I still shop there.
  8. I ordered one from Scale Hobbyist last night now that they are in stock. $56
  9. Valiant & Fiero sitting in the neighborhood....
  10. That is the case(haha!) here in Florida it seems. Both local Ollie's didn't have much just a few kits, but from photos I've seen here other stores get more variety.
  11. Scale Hobbyist is has listed for $53 & change. Model Roundup is around $58. None in stock at either place yet.
  12. I hit up the local Ollie's again today. Not a darn thing new except for what I saw yesterday. Was looking to pick up a Diamond Reo kit.
  13. Had to run some errands & stopped by Ollie's. I asked my contact there about new kits and she said "we get a truck delivery tomorrow" but didn't know what was on it. They did have these kits on the shelf. I snagged a Cornbinder and a can of primer so not a wasted trip!
  14. Modern car brakes! Just to change rear pads & rotors on my VW not only do you have to screw the caliper piston back in with the right tool, but you have to retract the electronic parking brake with an OBD tool then reset it when done. I miss the days of C clamps for disc brakes and brake spoons for drum brakes!
  15. Thanks for the heads up, I'm going to check my local one. Like Tom I have a 15% off coupon to use up as well.
  16. Nice & clean build! A '58 is on my list too.
  17. I collect Ford memorabilia and finally got one of my holy grail pieces at a decent price. This book is the compilation of a series of articles Engineering Magazine did on the Ford Highland Park plant starting in 1914. Covers every aspect of the plant from hiring the worker to the finished car. This book is extraordinarily hard to find & expensive when you do- typically $300-850. I paid nowhere near that for this excellent copy. The reprints just don't do the original medium format photos justice!
  18. The two HLs close to me tape the caps down. But we can buy paint without a chaperone! The Lowe's by the house has paint sprayed all over the paint rack and even the floor. It's fun to see the "additions" every time I'm in there.
  19. Someone is definitely asleep on the spell check & research at Round 2! I like the idea of the tin box and bought the Studebaker one, but think I'll pass on this one.
  20. Pretty weak month of kits.
  21. That's a great photo! Here's a few others from the Ford Images site.
  22. You did a fine job on it! I've always been a C1 guy from having grown up around them, but seems the older I get the more I appreciate C3's. We used to have a massive Corvette show/swap down here but it has shrank tremendously over the years.
  23. Pretty basic kit, built straight out of the box. Kit built very well, would do another one! The color is Tamiya As-9 Blue and the German art supply decals are from my spares box.
