  1. These are gonna be cool!
  2. This one lap around the 13 mile Nurburgring “North loop” just might blow your mind.
  3. Well that reminds me of this ... Some years back some Canadian kids (I think they were) decided to come down and chain a VW bug to the Golden Gate Bridge and throw it over.
  4. Hi Mike. I really love anything Shelby, so I’ll be looking in on this one. You’re doing a nice job ... that interior is great! Nice detail throughout so far. I remember your Createx thread ... glad to see you’re sticking with the water base stuff. It really is a lot easier to deal with for cleanup and mixing paint.?
  5. Thanks for the compliment John!
  6. Thanks again Mark ... it’s kinda funny, my other models have pretty detailed foot pedals, but not even close to the detail on these, and the foot pedals are virtually unseeable once installed even if the car has no roof! I am however, pretty consistent about doing dashes as well as I can. I guess I’ve convinced myself that it’s really important ... to me? Another thing that’s happening to me because of this WIP, is that I find myself scrutinizing my photos and wanting to improve things that you probably would never notice with your naked eye ... ...LIKE THIS !
  7. Nice attention to the authentic details Mark ... I’m sure those were painstaking?
  8. Slick ship brigade
  9. Cobweb covered boots
  10. Haha! ... Pretending she’s in the jungle. That’s a cat for you...beautiful!?
  11. That’s funny, I thought they looked like little stingray teeth, ... o feel dumb now, lol!

    40 Ford

I would say that’s perfect! Great colors, clean details and authentic looking finish all around?
  13. Hi Mark, just dropping in again. Wow, glad you got your power back ... Texas sure got slammed with a lot of nasty just recently! Keep up your nice fabricating! ... Those little nubs in the grille sure do look like teeth to me. I don’t know my history on old vettes, but I would think that would be a dead giveaway for those who do.
  14. Haha ... no magnifiers so far. I’ll probably wind up cross eyed ? Interesting to know ... The more I hear about this process, which is still a big mystery to me, the more I think the profit marigin must be pretty small due to all the prep work and packaging of all the little parts, etc. The outside of the body needed only very minimal prepping of my own before painting, and I don’t use primer either... 99% of the prepping was trimming and sanding around the windows and other openings, and I did go around and deepen the panel lines with my new Trumpeter scriber that I love! ....Thank you also for the compliment ! Thank you very much Mark!!
  15. Thanks Andrew! They were actually not as hard as I thought they were going to be. I just rubbed my x-acto blade against my tweezers and got some magnetization and could then hold and place them with the tip of the blade. The hardest part was cutting them, which wasn’t too bad.
  16. Thanks Anton. Thanks Bill ... The cats have been watching this too. I think they mostly just wonder why I stare at and touch this “thing” so much.
  17. Hi Craig... the 70 Trans Am is a cool looking car, and based on your previous work I’ve seen, I’ll be watching ... Liking what I’m seeing so far?
  18. Cool, that makes me happy!?
  19. Thank you kindly Bill !
  20. Hi everyone, Here’s an update as to where I am now. The pics pretty much do all the explaining, so I’ll leave it at that. I’ll probably get another update posted sometime over the next couple days. Thanks for checking in ... I appreciate the kind comments and that there is obviously a lot of interest in this car/project.? When looking at the first picture on this WIP it may not appear there is a whole heck of a lot of parts, but once you get into it there’s really quite a bit going on.
  21. My guess is that flood waters put it there.
  22. Couldn’t have done it without you guys brainstorming me.??
  23. It basically works as explained above, but no message appears... you simply see the blue load bar load, and then you go back to your topic on the forum.
