  1. Well for the first time in 22 years I’m closer to the equator than the arctic circle lol, swapped the 53rd parallel for the 48th.
  2. That is a beautiful rendition of the 1:1 car Phil!
  3. @Phildaupho absolutely beautiful!
  4. That sucks Jim, sorry to see this one stopped.
  5. Thank you Craig, I’m sure there is an stl file out there already, but the demand is small I’m sure. The suspension components for a stockish front axle are a little limited but I’m sure I’ll find a decent representation. Some more work has taken place already with a Zed cut frame. Been trying to clear up some older ongoing projects before making anymore headway with this lot. I appreciated your input from the beginning. hope you are finding some bench time.

    RUST.

I’ll add a few of my rusty treasures, the Hinman roadster and a patina 32.
  7. Well Jim, I was attempting a little different vibe with the tan, and I’m not really feeling it at this time, I think you are right basic black is the correct look. I’m with you 200% on the not being pleased by “Billet buggies”. It will be a little bit before i’m painting again as the weather is fit for neither man nor beast. But that’s ok as I’ve enough non paint related work to do for a little while.
  8. Nice, Jeeves gets a heater! You may have already mentioned but what is the source of the front seats?
  9. Test shot for colour, not sure if I’m feeling the sand colour for the roof insert or just go black.
  10. Thank you David, the flathead is one of my favourite pieces of this build.
  11. Tonight if all goes well, it will have a face.
  12. Well alrighty then! Managed to get the dash correction made, had to remove the steering column tach and open the notch in the dash a little bit to get everything to sit all nice n happy again. Body is now permanently fixed to the chassis and the final details are underway again.
  13. That will be exactly where I’ll be starting back on it tonight! Thank you David.
  14. @Kit Karson that is going to a stunning sedan, I envision many coats of hand rubbed laquer, two tone and oodles of chrome!
  15. Those colours go so well together!
  16. Man that’s coming together nicely!
  17. Looks great, it took quite awhile to get the steady hands skills, for practice I used to paint the numbers on the sprue trees, sounds goofy but it’s like anything practice improves the skills, try different techniques of holding the part and steadying the painting hand, a cheap pair of reading glasses help( even if you don’t need them, the magnification really helps) I did a stint in the eighties building 1:35 scale military figures so I developed some painting skill there. Keep plugging away Brian !
  18. Both restorations are killer!
  19. Looks killer up on wheels!
  20. Looks great from here Jim! I’ve only built one full bodied car model since getting back to the hobby and this was the kit! I loved the amount of detail( I masked and painted the trim).
  21. Thank you Carl, hoping for paint today!
  22. Turned out awesome David, well detailed and the paint finish is impeccable.
  23. Very clean rendition Michael!
