If you haven’t shot paint on the body yet, why not make a trunk lip with some styrene to fill the gaps in the trunk opening? Like a rain gutter

Hands still shaking but I’m making progress

Chassis just about done, work on the engine is at a standstill, for some reason I’ve developed a slight shake in my hands??‍♂️

I’m liking this more and more, suspension will be getting final assembly pretty quick, then the engine will be plumbed and installed.

I got mine from a friend in trade, so I’ll have to deal with the warped hood, I can’t send off for a replacement. I’ve dealt with worse. It’s funny though my 70 2wd has a perfect hood, and the 70 4x4 has only a slight twist.

The headers/dumps are welding together with sprue glue, you can see that I’ve used the fact that it gets stringy, I wrapped the “strings” around the seam, once it fully cures I can then smooth it out. Body parts are prepped for the final “colour” coat.

Wow that’s a compliment and a half ? To be honest I’m not 100%sure I think they are from the early revell ford f100 that had the ardun heads, I know I added the dumps to them, they are currently in the next in line for work on the bench to get rid of the seam. Ill have som progress pics here soon, been home sick for a day or so so I’ve been between the bench and the couch (seasonal cold/flu , nothing serious)

The manifold and the heads are 3D, I had a local friend print them for me, I’m sure iceman collections has some as well. I just sent my last full set of parts to @chris chabre
