  1. This year Monte has always been a dream car of mine! And as I’ve only seen them in blue or black, the green captivates me even more! Well done sir
  2. The Blue is the way, I have the parts sitting in the purple pond of paint despair atm. the 32 was an unknown resin (possibly jimmy flintsone) it’s most certainly not one of Ed Flucks fine castings. It does have a build thread buried in the wip car section. in other news I’ve had this built FE staring at me on my bench for almost a year, it will find its way under the hood.
  3. Thanks for the input David, the two long ones don’t really suit the style of the truck. may least the 40 ford pieces suit the era and keep it blue oval lol
  4. I’m thinking the 40 ford might be the best option. The dark blue
  5. I don’t have the rear fenders, I got this truck as an incomplete rebuilder.
  6. That’s a decent idea, I’ll keep that pinned til I sort out wheel openings
  7. I’ll have to dig through the parts bins and see what I can come up with. and thank you for the kind comments Bill.
  8. Looking at fitting a nice big fat 427 FE under the hood, possibly the revell parts pack one.
  9. Did some more work onthe chassis and ramp, changed the rear end to a heftier unit and got it squared up a little to my liking. no I have the wedge sitting level to the ground. I love the slab side of the wedge but it will need some details, trying out a set of hood vents as a removable access panel for the rear wheels. Let me know what you think! as always all comments are welcome.
  10. That’s one of my most enjoyable aspect of building engines, simulating the various types of metals and finishes with paint. A one colour engine imo is a dull detail. You are doing this kit justice.
  11. Playing around with yet another 32 5 window, trying to use all the louvres.
  12. I love the imperfect
  13. All I can say is please have it powered by the blue oval
  14. It’s a two for one space lol
  15. Thank you, I feel my skills have progressed to give this a little more effort I agree as well, I’m still undecided on final height
  16. I’m really liking that shade of blue! Keep up the awesome work
  17. Back on the bench. I wasn’t happy with the overall height of the wedge… so I cut a wedge out and made it closer to a flat deck. still some work to do to make this primer worthy
  18. Pretty neat stuff going on here
