It will just be dropped, i have a sectioned grille shell and it just looks small an pitiful. And no, no crafting, when the cost of a modelling cutting mat is almost 3 times the cost of a craft mat, frugalness ensues. -

Cracked open a fresh 1997 release of the classic ford roadster, going for a nice channelled clean look. already added a nice Zed to the frame and deleted the small block engine and trans mounts, broke out the old add a flathead install kit, some styrene stock and bam. the wheels and tires are from the partsbox, pretty sure they are from the Lil coffin. Current engine is for mock-up purposes. I’ll be working on the grill shroud and radiator for matching the channelled body for height.

I have an original screw bottom convertible, it’s missing some small pieces, I had thought of picking one up to get them. -
Clean build of a classic kit, well done sir.

Thanks Bob, I have the inability of working straight from the box, kitbashing is an art form that I’ve seen others achieve to great success here on the forums and the notion of custom building something that lives in my head unleashes my creativity, some of my builds have started with an idea and one solitary part that I want to use. In the past month I’ve churned out a couple of builds, but some of those have been in the “in process” stage for quite sometime. I actually cracked open a fresh kit last night as an idea struck me.I literally spent 3 hours going through wheel and tire combos.

I’m sorry Jim, but no I don’t think I’ll stop hogging them today . ? yes these are my favourite kits to mess with and now with a new mold coming out I’m even more excited to add to the stash haha. I have some fresh ideas for future builds.

Looks good, hope the paint on mine turns out as nice

You call that “pretty good”? I call it flippen epic. That’s way better than any paint I’ve done.
