  1. Can’t go wrong with a Hemi!
  2. Box of 1/8 32 ford parts I’ve been waiting on since august.
  3. Thanks, not sure if those floor pan pics are typical of a non channeled body.
  4. I love them lol Yes it’s a four door sedan, and sorry, not sorry lol, I started this lot with a pile of rebuilders, glue bombs and broken missing parts. So I started cheap. I still haven’t dipped into the stash.
  5. Yea Bernard, the cowl was from the 31 sedan, visually from what I can tell, it’s near enough for me. The cowl itself is a tinch wider, but because the car will not have a traditional interior it was ok to widen the body unless you get a micrometer you can’t tell the difference. So far the parts tally: amt roadster body, amt 29 frame, revell 31 cowl, atlantis(nee revell) front axle, suicide perch from the mooneyes dragster. Spring plates from the revell 32 series, flathead engine from the amt 39 mercury. Wheels are from the amt 36 ford. Rear axle I believe is also a revell piece. Because I’m limited in my ability to see the rear axle and mounts I’m going to use a traditional setup.
  6. It’s going to be a challenge for sure,
  7. James, as I just mentioned in another thread, attaching the interior side panels les to the body as opposed to the floor will help you slip the body down and retain the panels for the interior, you will need to trim the floor panel, as for the rear axle? Widen it! And as mentioned above the front axle is an easy fix or replace it with another.
  8. I’ve found that on the ones that I have channelled, attaching the interior side panels to the body and not the floor will let you slide the body down without having to cut the panels try it out with some masking tape first to make sure it will work for you.
  9. Stage 1 weathering starts
  10. Thanks Steve, i’m gonna need it lol
  11. As I usually do, I randomly find a picture on the internet and decide to try to replicate it. I started with a less than perfect 29 roadster body(amt), grafted a 31 cowl(Revell) and raised the parts box for a suitable flathead and suspension pieces. So far this is what I’ve come up with! Wheels are from the amt 36 ford, rear axle is parts bin mystery, frame is an old amt kit piece that was less glue bomby than the rest. I think with the modifications to the frame I’ve got the engine setback correct and the level of hackery to the firewall to allow the setback is pretty close. I’ve never actually succeeded in replicating rust but I’ve done a ton of research. Follow along as I try not to beans this up.
  12. The face it, you’re old and can’t see sh** up close 2022 model! Finally broke down and got some reading glasses.
  13. A few from my bench
  14. That’s looking really good Jim? I started One similar a while back, it’s still only on mock-up, but it’s a pre Roth build, still has a flat head. I too started with a pile of parts.
  15. Looks good so far Greg
  16. A little work on the body for the surf brick! Cleaning up the cut lines, gaps and making the windshield frame, lots of filing and sanding to come! Then we shall hopefully see some primer and see if I still have wood grain painting skills.
  17. Free music with no copyright infringement is hard to find, iirc YouTube has a music resource with free muzak. I’ve watched a few of his unboxing videos to see what’s in the box. If I like what I see I purchase said kit. And I agree with what most have said he does represent what is in the box. man’s a start to finish in one viewing appeals to most of the general audience. So I’d say he’s doing it right.
  18. Any way you build it, a revell 32 is a great kit. I have another 5 window in the wings, just waiting for some special parts
  19. At first I thought I had bitten off more than I could chew, I did get discouraged a couple if times, so I backed off and built something else. Slump busters work well. Luckily we have the internet as a resource. I did stray a bit from my initial mock-up on some of the styles but in the end I persevered on most.
  20. Been waiting for that looks awesome Paul
  21. Well you are starting with a great kit.
  22. Well well well, where did we leave off, oh yeah three left. Got a nice chop done on the station wagon. Now time to clean up cuts and then get some paint down. Finally using my Latham blown Ardun flathead. Feels like forever and a day ago that I built it.
