Looks good Ken, I’m guessing you are going for the channelled roadster. The colour looks great.

1963 Monogram 55 Chevy Restoration/Rebuild

I have zero problems with restoring an older build, it’s the same in the 1:1 auto world. After all you are preserving the kit, you are breathing new life into it. -
'51 Studebaker, Peking to Paris Rally (community build project)
Bullybeef replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I’m liking the meatiness of those tires, it will definitely be a stout vehicle, based on the ride height you’ve set it looks like it could tackle any terrain. -
The 63 hardtop is absolutely perfect

I like the finish on this a lot, very well done!

I have that kit in the playlist, not sure when it’s gonna come up. Been waiting for some inspiration to pop up.

Tidy work Bill, looks like you will have this up on wheels pretty soon. -
Did you trim the firewall? Looks like your hangup might be there. And great work on persevering through.

Well it’s been a minute since we left this. Back in August I made a deal on some rough 1/8 parts, mostly just frames and bodies, no suspension or engine parts (that were usable) well they finally arrived on Tuesday and I’ve been working with them to see what was usable, junk and what would help someone else get a project going. so first step was to wash all the parts, they had a layer of someone else’s dust ?. Then it was to split out the parts into separate cars. So with another parts lot I got back in the spring that was most likely from a big t I got this assembled. Managed to get two wheels salvaged, the other 2 are rough, previous builder must have used a 1/2 tube of gloo on each wheel, the melt was incredible. to complete this mess I will need two front drums, two wheels and some suspension pieces, steering and the like, but wait there’s more, all this 1/8 scale action has gotten me to finally finish boxing in the frame for the the original build!

Man that’s quite the undertaking Phil, the symmetry in that engine bay is awesome. -
The Hinman roadster, a study in rust update 1/18/23
Bullybeef replied to Bullybeef's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Thank you both, I’ve been busy chasing squirrels out of my build area for a couple of days, there is a very good reason that I don’t have my kit stash close to my build bench. i should have some progress shots on the interior here soon. -

That is one cleanly cut chop! -
'32 Ford roadster gluebomb rework. April 26: back on track
Bullybeef replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Man that sucks, and added to another reason on my list for not trusting old paint. When I wandered down the rebuilder path, I made it a habit to fully strip old painted parts. I got bitten once and that was enough. -
1960’s Traditional Blown ‘23 T Bucket UPDATE 10/31/22
Bullybeef replied to Dennis Lacy's topic in WIP: Model Cars
@Dennis Lacy nice to see you back at the bench. -
That right there is the epitome of an east coast build! You sir have nailed it.

Jim, your work on this has me jonesing to get back to work on mine, I’ll have to do some rearranging in the backlog cabinet and see if I can move it up in the rotation haha. The 3D printed parts are so nice as well.

The 40 dash just sets the tone for smooth in that interior, I like it a lot! Well done Ken.
