That sir is a beautiful rendition of that classic kit. Love the added detail. -
Fine work on all Bernard

Well gennelmen I present to you a day late and a dollar short the results from my bench for this year. Some have their own build and complete threads. Not gonna lie the last month my building mojo fell off quite a bit. I do have a strong start on the new year as I have some of the “15” to finish. 13 + an almost finished.

well done on all four Tom

I’m deeply in love with the RSR, well done sir

Excellent work Claude, I’m still working on the lady of mine for the year, then to get fresh pictures for the end of the year. -

Thank you Claude, but I have to point out that it is carbureted. I liked the velocity stacks ??♂️ -

The Hinman roadster, a study in rust update 1/18/23

I fully agree Jim, but the reason I went with the 36 ford wheels is that the under cap detail suits my direction for the build, sans hubcaps. Thank you for the comments. -

I have no secrets it’s all trial and error, I picked through an AK paint rack and picked out all the colours that had rusty hues to them. Later to discover all my selections in a “Rust” kit haha Acrylics are more forgiving for this type of painting and I quite enjoy working with them. Layering without looking like layers is the hardest skill -

Thank you. there is a lot more work involved in making something look dull and haggard than there is in making it shiny and perfect haha. -

@Bernard Kron I use brushes no air involved, I had a stint in the eighties where I built military armour and I remembered a couple of tricks from basic weathering. -

I think I have one, thanks for the offer. I just had to dig a bit deeper.
