  1. Cool models and love the 68 Dart GTS. And do you still have the Scamp or Swinger? Welcome to the club, looks like you know what you are doing!
  2. Ron, here is info on the model swap meet and a show where I would say about 500 -800 models show on tables in the back of the McComb Community College. Usually spring and fall. Great to see other modelers work. You can spend hours looking at stuff there right in our own backyard!
  3. Ron, I just found this thread and read through it all. Crazy build, and will follow your progress from here. I got back into building trucks this year....it's been a while. Question for you, see you are on NX. You are experienced for sure, did you work in a design studio previously? Did you print the frame rails and the details (other than shapeways buys) yourself or outsource them? If so what material/Process for RP? How detailed is the stepover on the parts for sanding? I am curious on your comments on the part fidelity. Perhaps we know some of the same people in the Chrysler design studio, we did some work in the past together. Make sure you bring this rig to McComb in November!
  4. Excellent! Welcome Ric, we look forward to your participation in the forum!
  5. The 77 Camaro from an original annual release kit is done....glad to get this on the shelf after so many years! Makes room in the stash pile for a few more
  6. Right guys, I saw no rules posted. I got chastised, learneded or wakeded, and now follow along with PM's.
  7. CabDriver, it is interesting to see that the LAYOUT of the models in your store is EXACTLY the same as in my store in Novi, Mi. Today is the last day, and I am headed there to see about the paints. May be stupid and use the 40% coupon on something, and maybe get that Boss 302. Anyone know if that updated Mustang front end is accurate and better than the old one that I already have in my stash?
  8. Cool, I like Novas. This one looks nice, like i want to drive it or something. Tell me, this is the AMT version? As I saw a Revell Nova on the shelf the other day and didn't even know Revell produced one.
  9. I would have bought them all. Maybe the shelves too. That’s stupid pricing. the counter human asked me if my paint was in the hobby section. Maybe all the Modelmaster paints will be marked down at all the stores soon.....
  10. I don’t know why I keep buying stuff. This has gotta stop. $3.77 for the Corvette IMSA paint FTW.
  11. Doesn’t look bad from here better than a lot of other certain models I have seen you could build a DeKon Monza out of that. Al Holberts perhaps.
  12. Kurt. Did you shape a piece of plastic to make that figure? That tiny? That’s crazy work!!!
  13. After a few days off of modeling, got back into it tonight with a little alclad application in a cold garage. I got kicked out of the basement with the spray booth. The alclad REALLY needs a warm environment to lay on nicely. But close enough.....
  14. And that’s the fun part!
  15. What kit is that Tom?
  16. 40% off all plastic kits this week. Last chance for the 40% coupon. worth the trip to see if there is new stock in kits or Modelmaster paints, like my HL had today Ding. Ding.
  17. Used the 40% off kits at HL to grab this and the mister surfacer was the 40% coupon today. They had a NEW shipment of Modelmaster jars so I got two to go.
  18. Unbelievable find at Hobby Lobby! I love this paint. And it was only $4.00 tax included!
  19. May hit HL tomorrow as I wanna get out and about in the snow. 40% off coupons can be used once every day guys....?
  20. I am gonna pile on Bill. Awesome looking truck. Underhood looks perfect with just enough detail. You should list this on Bring a Trailer, probably get 40 grand for it. LOL!
  21. Dave, that build looks awesome, thanks for sharing the work through with us.
  22. Ken, can you point to a link that details your shop diarama? I love the way it looks, and would like to get ahold of some of those details for myself!
  23. The build thread on here encouraged me.....
  24. Nice to see this kit in a buildup! I almost bought this on Saturday.....may be time to head back to the store and pick it up. Keep up with the cool little details! And I love the background, I wasn't sure if that was real or a diorama at first! Seriously! Model on Ken.
