  1. Damn Mechanics and their greasy hands... the shall be test subjects for the Disruptor Cannon!
  2. Ireland, where men are men and the sheep are nervous!
  3. Awesome detailing on the Eagle Ismael! We never really think about the 'also rans' and how close Dan Gurney came to winning in his own car that year.
  4. just say that the black on the cockpit rubbed off during the race! Weathering on the wheels really brings out the details.
  5. I suppose it had ample power to simply drift around the corners.
  6. Hi Ismael, I've started a thread Show Us Your indy Cars and hope to see some of your other projects. The Wasp would be a great addition.
  7. Wild week end of Qualifying!!! Should be an exiting race this next weekend.
  8. Much better without the yellow green paint isn't it Bruce! Very nice engine detailing! Who's tires did you use they look pretty much spot on?
  9. It is May and time once again for one of the most exciting races in the history of the automobile. Also one of the most most modeled subjects in our hobby from the big companies to the garage shop casters, among them Chris Etzel, Bill Jorgensen, and Front Motor to name just a few. Although the program for the month of May at the Brickyard has changed significantly over the recent years the anticipation still excites us fans of this most exciting racing event. So, let's see your Indy car models and what started your passion for these cars. I start with Etzels's 1924 Duesenberg, and 1926 Miller 91, MPC 1968 winning Gurney Eagle with R&M Turbo Offy kit, AMT 11968 Lotus Turbine w/ Lance Sellers retro kit, SMTS 1/43 1967 Paxton Turbine, And an Revell box stock Montoya 2000 G-Force, though not in Indy configuration, but still... Now let's see yours? Model On!
  10. Yes indeed, Roger's Lincoln Continental was/is an amazing work of our art. As were the non automotive models, wagons and steam pumper.
  11. Fiction can be your friend unless you have your engine wound up to the red line and oil pressure drops to 0, oh, that's Friction!
  12. Unless they are really REALLY Good friends.
  13. House of cards fell like a tone of bricks!
  14. No, I mean back when I was 12 in 1962. Now I have regulators up the wazoo, and a 80 gallon compressor.
  15. I never thought or even considered a regulator, if I could even afford one.
  16. At one time, way back in time, Badger had an adapter that you could use on your car spare tire. Your big Micky Thompson 60 series should have plenty of volume for most projects.
  17. Outstanding work François (as usual) Is the "Captain America" shield star and ring printed on the inside of the truck/boot lid? I noticed it before when the light shines through from behind.
  18. Late to the party as usual. I recently got hold of a Dyke's Automobile and Gasoline Engine Encyclopedia copyright 1911>17. Has a vast amount of information and charts for many of the early autos, and a supplement on how to hot rod your Ford T and electric/ hybrid cars.
  19. Yes, I like Smooth-on, silicons and the black Onix is great for tires, however I bought some 321 urethane back in covid days stirred the botttles, let stand for a couple of day to outgass, then mixed slowly and methodically to avoid bubbles, and as it cured it more or less turned to foam with small bubbles throughout the part. Smooth on had no solution except that I should use a pressure pot when casting with this product.
  20. James, is there a cutaway rendering of the Wasp in you collection? Would love to see it. Thanks. Got an e-mail from EG today saying that he is recovering from medical issues but will post more when he is up to the task again. I for one look forward to his return.
  21. I have a setup for both vacuum and pressure pot. The silicon aren't that big a problem however my resin working time is so short that it starts kicking off within a minuet after I start mixing not leaving me time to safely secure the pressure pot lid. Some times it kicks while pouring into the mold. Slower setting resins seem to be more fragile.
  22. What you and your monkey need is a big hand full of nuts and a couple of berries!
