resin casting and molds
Big John replied to Paul Payne's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I have a setup for both vacuum and pressure pot. The silicon aren't that big a problem however my resin working time is so short that it starts kicking off within a minuet after I start mixing not leaving me time to safely secure the pressure pot lid. Some times it kicks while pouring into the mold. Slower setting resins seem to be more fragile. -
What you and your monkey need is a big hand full of nuts and a couple of berries!

Formula 1 Cadillac

Not GM so much as Andretti's way of getting their foot in the F1 door after being shut out for so many years. I believe Mario is the team Principal. The Andretti family's only other option would have been to buy out HAAS. However, being Indy Car competitors that would be highly unlikely. I mean, what is Haas' motivation for being in F1, they aren't an auto manufacturer? Audi had to buy out Sauber in order to get a birth for 2026. -
New F1 movie. Anyone interested??

I think 'Rush' was one of the better the latest F1 movies, though, despite the backstories of neglected wives and lovers, 'Grand Prix' had some outstanding F1 car action shots especially on the old Monza, Spa, and Zandvoort tracks. -

Actually Land speed Record cars are much faster, though in a straight line and over a 5 mile couse. F1 cars are however damn quick in the corners. -
Marvel's Hydra coupe 1/12 scale full scratch build

Since the frame and running gear are up on a serious support you could mount the body on a body buck as though if was in the process of being fabricated. -
Remark Able!

Wonderful work as always François. What is the firing order on that beast? -
Irk Irk Irk... Spray Paints aren't what they used to be, wanted to get some Testors 1244 gold to match an old can I had.. The latest (now rustolum) has way more copper in the pigment, not the same color at all. Then the latest purchase cans of Tamiya primer seem to have a much lower % of pigment solids and dry nearly transparent. Also tend to fisheye badly leaving a goopy rough finish. Never had a problem with them before this year. Back to automotive primers.

Looking good, would one of the AMT bulldozer s fit on it? -
Cheap and Inexpensive are not = Always bought quality tools and took good care of them. 40 yr on they still work well.

And this was a collaborative project between Mad Mike and myself drafting a 1/8 scale 60/70s Ford Indy DOHC V8 for prototyping. Mad Mike's build is Epic! -
