Beautiful work. takes me back the my visits to AF. I love that you did most of the build with laser cut wood reminiscent of the real cars. I didn't see any pics of the Grip mechanism, does it go down into the cable slot?
Thanks for sharing.
The also work well for automotive grade spot putty and lightly used xacto blades. I never thought when I stockpiled them that digital cameras would put an end to their availability.
Somewhere lost in the stashes is a 1/43 John Shinton Spirit of America Sonic 1. I don't throw stuff away so it has got to be Somewhere in the house. Reference photo from the net.
I remember going to an auto show when the Miura first came out in the 60s. The had an engine out on a stand and I then knew what heaven was. V12! Yes nice recovery from paint heck!
There is also a Lindberg kit in 1/25th that has been reissued a couple of times. Way back in the 60s there was a article in one of the mags using the Auburn to make a boat tail Duesenberg out of the Monogram kit.
Wild valve train detail and a very unique intake duct work being an integral part of the heads. Is this roughly based on a real layout or are you being tres creative? Wild stuff.
