  1. Cranky, another masterpiece of rust. No need for a windshield. But if you want to try something for an alternative, how about a weatherstrip? Worn and sagging across the top. I bet an "o" ring would work. Just a thought. You do have one advantage of the "shiney" crowd... never worry about collecting dust on the shelf!
  2. Brush painted? Darn good paint for a brush job! A -thumbs up- icon here if we had one!
  3. Mike - I think your pictures prove the quality of those distributors. I didn't notice if their web addy is listed above; if not, can you post more info?
  4. Replicas & Miniatures Co. of Maryland makes the best resin distributors out there! Factory stock style, caps cast in four different colors, and all pre-drilled. They also sell vacuum advance units and coils. I think there is three distributor sets per pack.
  5. I wish I was from the South, than I could say "Ya'all"! Oh, and I'll take life in the Snow Zone over any other part of the country. It snows, go out and start the snowblower. No tornados. No hurricanes. No wildfires. No earthquakes (yet). No mudslides. No swarms of Locusts. You do have swarms of Locusts, right?

    1989 Regal

Nice Buick there! The wheels really help too.
  7. HOLY JUMPIN' JENNIFER!!!!! That is A-freakin-Mazing! That windshield says... REAL! At least that is what I thought on first glance! I mean... it doesn't get any better than that!
  8. I take it that was one of your better days. I'm jealous!
  9. SHEEP? SHEEP! Any model that has SHEEP can't be all bad! S'cuse me... wife says it's time for my meds.

    '34 FORD

    Dat's nice!
  11. One way to tell you're going too fast... BTW, slow the He!l down, Pat!
  12. Now that's what I'm talkin' about! And it doesn't have to be "straight on"... Point is, gang, we want to see all five at least (left, right, front, back, and top)*. Isometric angles can get three of those views at once. I'm just sayin... some of ya are lettin' your old age catch up to ya! PS- chassis shot is just iceing on the cake!
  13. Great idea! But... which fender wins? Which one will lose it's trim- front, or back? Maybe both? Short is sweet.
  14. Nope, I'm not talkin' about that George. If the image is larger than your screen can handle, just choose a smaller screen size % (bottom right on my screen). I mean show several pics of a model, but not the front. Don't be bashful, folks! Show the snout!
  15. Hey! If ya gonna take pics... don't forget to photograph the front! I notice some finished builds... no front of the car to see?! Whatszup with that?
  16. Mike- It was like a tent in that the sides (IIRC) were both screen material for ventilation, and a canvas for wet weather protection. I don't know how it folded up when the roof was lowered. Anyone know? The model is long gone, if I ever rebuilt one, I would like to make that part of it functional.
  17. Metal axle tip- if you want the car to sit with all 4 tires on the ground guaranteed, give one axle "oval" holes to go through, like a paper clip shape (but not that drastic) that allows one axle to move up & down just a tad.
  18. I knew from the first photo this was a quality build. Really. Paint is right... BMF is good... once I seen that, odds are everything else will be just as good. The rest of the pics prove it true!
  19. There is several VW van builds now finished or in the pipeline here on the board. So I thought I would show this replica of my nephew's first set of wheels. I gave it to him one Christmas. I don't recall too much, but I did scratch build the wheelcovers. Maybe the mirrors too. Sorry for the lousy pics.
  20. Hi This is BMF...
  21. Bravo! That... is amazing! That is over the top! What caught my eye... the window frames. How did you make those? They look so much better than the usual square-corner aluminum frame vintage style we usually see. The entire build is so clean. Quite believable!
  22. Now that's a good looking IMSA racer!
  23. If you want a REAL snowthrower... Get a 454 ci snowthrower!
  24. Thank you all for the kind words. The worse part of my day is transitioning in and out of the wheelchair. Too bad my bladder doesn't have an "off" switch! You know who REALLY deserves some recognition? The men and women who volunteer to man our rescue squads and ambulances! The work their tails off, take constant risks, and put the patient first! They ROCK! I had to be carried, strapped to a chair, out a side door, and hauled through unshoveled snow to reach the stretcher, then to the wagon. One EMT slipped on the ice, and we all crashed down. He was concerned for me, while I was concerned for him! In the wagon, they wanted to install an IV link in my arm, which they did successfully, while the wagon was moving, and on the first try. The hospital staff has never been able to do that to me in the past, and they had a still floor! (at least I think the place wasn't moving)
  25. Maybe go with a late model vehicle backlight? Maybe a '58 Chevy rear window with the sides ground away?
