  1. How about that... a question about a model I have! Unfortunately, I'm temporarily wheelchair bound, and there is a staircase between me and the model! I did find this pic, is this the one? Because if it is, I think that has the "horizontal distributor" which is not right. I'll wait while you go check.
  2. Matt, I have seven pics from that movie, if you could use them. Maybe you already have them. See photo #s 557 to #563 @ link: http://public.fotki.com/JCole/11_celebrity_rides/page12.html
  3. This subject is something to consider when trying to decide if you should glue those wheels so it won't roll off a shelf! Maybe I should take my own advice?! My recent builds have wheels that are glued, but I have several older builds not "fixed".
  4. Andrew! This is... amazing stuff! Another "Knock our socks off" type build!
  5. How about that?!!! That is so kewl! Something we don't see too often on the contest tables... or roadways very often!
  6. Chrome looks good, but if ya want to sell us (or yourself) on the CTIS wheels from the Hummer, you need to tell us what your color scheme may be. BTW, my wife drove a 2000 CR-V for years, I photographed it (like a model builder photographs cars) before we sold it if you want ref pics... http://public.fotki.com/JCole/our_vehicles/page2.html
  7. Nice, but you may want to look at reference material for Optima batteries... Here is an image worth printing in scale... You could sand that top smooth, print out the top and attach, drill two holes for posts.
  8. I think this is what Ed is referring to... Ed apparently knows what years have the wire tube. On the other hand, you have the photo for reference. Either way, the engine and the rest of the car look great.
  9. After last weeks eye opening, I'm not too sure. But I voted "model" on this one.
  10. Cranky, another masterpiece of rust. No need for a windshield. But if you want to try something for an alternative, how about a weatherstrip? Worn and sagging across the top. I bet an "o" ring would work. Just a thought. You do have one advantage of the "shiney" crowd... never worry about collecting dust on the shelf!
  11. Brush painted? Darn good paint for a brush job! A -thumbs up- icon here if we had one!
  12. Mike - I think your pictures prove the quality of those distributors. I didn't notice if their web addy is listed above; if not, can you post more info?
  13. Replicas & Miniatures Co. of Maryland makes the best resin distributors out there! Factory stock style, caps cast in four different colors, and all pre-drilled. They also sell vacuum advance units and coils. I think there is three distributor sets per pack.
  14. I wish I was from the South, than I could say "Ya'all"! Oh, and I'll take life in the Snow Zone over any other part of the country. It snows, go out and start the snowblower. No tornados. No hurricanes. No wildfires. No earthquakes (yet). No mudslides. No swarms of Locusts. You do have swarms of Locusts, right?

    1989 Regal

Nice Buick there! The wheels really help too.
  16. HOLY JUMPIN' JENNIFER!!!!! That is A-freakin-Mazing! That windshield says... REAL! At least that is what I thought on first glance! I mean... it doesn't get any better than that!
  17. I take it that was one of your better days. I'm jealous!
  18. SHEEP? SHEEP! Any model that has SHEEP can't be all bad! S'cuse me... wife says it's time for my meds.

    '34 FORD

    Dat's nice!
  20. One way to tell you're going too fast... BTW, slow the He!l down, Pat!
  21. Now that's what I'm talkin' about! And it doesn't have to be "straight on"... Point is, gang, we want to see all five at least (left, right, front, back, and top)*. Isometric angles can get three of those views at once. I'm just sayin... some of ya are lettin' your old age catch up to ya! PS- chassis shot is just iceing on the cake!
  22. Great idea! But... which fender wins? Which one will lose it's trim- front, or back? Maybe both? Short is sweet.
  23. Nope, I'm not talkin' about that George. If the image is larger than your screen can handle, just choose a smaller screen size % (bottom right on my screen). I mean show several pics of a model, but not the front. Don't be bashful, folks! Show the snout!
  24. Hey! If ya gonna take pics... don't forget to photograph the front! I notice some finished builds... no front of the car to see?! Whatszup with that?
  25. Mike- It was like a tent in that the sides (IIRC) were both screen material for ventilation, and a canvas for wet weather protection. I don't know how it folded up when the roof was lowered. Anyone know? The model is long gone, if I ever rebuilt one, I would like to make that part of it functional.
