Lindberg '37 Ford convertible custom?
Jon Cole replied to JollySipper's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Also built it long ago. Great street rod. Plastic was fine, at least to me. Only thing I remember was kit is weak as far as positive part locators. I want to buy the sedan delivery version if I ever find the reissue. Old pic, not very good. -
That is just so kewl! Not enough superlatives to describe it!

I really like it! And the color, when I see a "plain Jane" late 60's / early 70's Chevy, that's the color!

I have seen a mock up video of the Foose FD-100. Molded in white plastic. And it looks so good!

Hobby Lobby made my day

Perhaps if you delved into some actual research, you would think otherwise. Following is part of the Snopes write up in Wikipedia: Accuracy[edit]Jan Harold Brunvand, a folklorist who has written a number of books on urban legends and modern folklore, considered the site so comprehensive in 2004 that he decided to not launch one of his own.[11] David Mikkelson, the creator of the site, has said that the site receives more complaints of liberal bias than conservative bias, but insists that the same debunking standards are applied to all political urban legends.[22] In 2012, FactCheck.org reviewed a sample of Snopes' responses to political rumors regarding George W. Bush, Sarah Palin, and Barack Obama, and found them to be free from bias in all cases. FactCheck noted that Barbara Mikkelson was a Canadian citizen (and thus unable to vote in US elections) and David Mikkelson was an independent who was once registered as a Republican. "You'd be hard-pressed to find two more apolitical people," David Mikkelson told them.[22][23] In 2012, The Florida Times-Union reported that About.com's urban legends researcher found a "consistent effort to provide even-handed analyses" and that Snopes' cited sources and numerous reputable analyses of its content confirm its accuracy.[24] Critics of the site have falsely asserted that it is funded by George Soros, or linked sites, but all of Snopes’s revenue is from advertising on the site.[2] The New York Times has stated: All of Snopes’s revenue — Mr. Mikkelson says he doesn’t know what it is — come from ads. Facebook is not paying for its services. Nor is the billionaire George Soros funding the site, although that is sometimes asserted in anti-Snopes stories. -
So much for "not buying any more kits".

Whoh, that is one fine hot rod! The color, the stance, engine, tires, details... outstanding!

Which paint stripper is best?

Sold. Thank you all. It costs more, but should be worth it if the lower cost stuff is not as effective. -

Wow! A Jiotto Caspita. The one I have has been in my "To be finished some day" pile, for a long time. Your build looks so good, I may take another try at it. You did a fantastic job on it!

Cannot access "Model Building Questions and Answers"

Brett, thanks! Your link does work. Curious I cannot access otherwise. -
Looks good! Shame that someone jammed a wooden pole in the engine!

I posted a Q in the "Model Building Questions and Answers" page, and now when I go back to check, I am denied entry. Seems to be only that page. Any ideas on how to fix this? For two days, I have been getting: This page is having a problem loadingWe tried to load this page for you a few times, but there is still a problem with this site. We know you have better things to do than to watch this page reload over and over again so try coming back to this page later. Try this Go to my homepageOpen a new tab

So I want to make opening panels shut and stay closed until pulled open. But that’s not happening. My 1/16 x 1/32 button magnets seem to try to repel each other. So how do I make a door panel grab the magnet?

"Next will be a 52 Hudson Hornet "Mel's Drive In" - a 52 Club coupe - first time for the 52 coupe as a street car - kit will include wire wheels as well as hub caps -" YES!!! The wire wheels make such a big difference! Thank you! -
Wide whites & sombrero covers
Jon Cole replied to Jon Cole's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
This doesn't sound promising. Something so universally used in our hobby like wide whites is now reduced to hunting for it on Ebay? I hate Ebay. Wish we could get another aftermarket source for hot rod and custom parts. Especially wheels and tires.
