  1. Whoh, that is one fine hot rod! The color, the stance, engine, tires, details... outstanding!
  2. Sold. Thank you all. It costs more, but should be worth it if the lower cost stuff is not as effective.
  3. Will Purple Power not strip chrome?
  4. Man, that's a sweet build!
  5. Purple Power, vs. Super Clean (at twice the cost!)?
  6. http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/hobbylobby.asp
  7. Cloud mist gray.... looks so right on a '40. Fantastic build!
  8. Wow! A Jiotto Caspita. The one I have has been in my "To be finished some day" pile, for a long time. Your build looks so good, I may take another try at it. You did a fantastic job on it!
  9. Brett, thanks! Your link does work. Curious I cannot access otherwise.
  10. Looks good! Shame that someone jammed a wooden pole in the engine!
  11. I posted a Q in the "Model Building Questions and Answers" page, and now when I go back to check, I am denied entry. Seems to be only that page. Any ideas on how to fix this? For two days, I have been getting: This page is having a problem loadingWe tried to load this page for you a few times, but there is still a problem with this site. We know you have better things to do than to watch this page reload over and over again so try coming back to this page later. Try this Go to my homepageOpen a new tab
  12. Jim, I think that may be the finest scale classic Caddy I have ever seen! Everything on it is just right!
  13. So I want to make opening panels shut and stay closed until pulled open. But that’s not happening. My 1/16 x 1/32 button magnets seem to try to repel each other. So how do I make a door panel grab the magnet?
  14. "Next will be a 52 Hudson Hornet "Mel's Drive In" - a 52 Club coupe - first time for the 52 coupe as a street car - kit will include wire wheels as well as hub caps -" YES!!! The wire wheels make such a big difference! Thank you!
  15. This doesn't sound promising. Something so universally used in our hobby like wide whites is now reduced to hunting for it on Ebay? I hate Ebay. Wish we could get another aftermarket source for hot rod and custom parts. Especially wheels and tires.
  16. Hope you get your stuff back, Dave! Or, whoever you are!
  17. Anyone know of an aftermarket source for wide whitewall tires? How about Sombrero style wheelcovers?
  18. Would you by chance mean the current Revell '48 Ford, as a base?
  19. I believe that 2 part epoxy, fast drying 5-minute cure, works well, and won't fog over any chrome or clear plastic like super glue will. Maybe others will go more into removing mold release? I believe it's a little more involved than a hot soapy water wash. Or is it?
  20. Try using Facebook page: GOOD BAD TRADER REPORTS II I think that sharing of info would be frowned upon here. Not a member of Facebook? Now you have a reason to join. Better than nothing.
  21. People on production lines, especially if they don't know, or care what a '57 Chevy looks like? No, they wouldn't notice. Production lines run quick. No time to pick up or gawk at box art. Not everyone is a car nut, like us. Just like if the wrong Star Trek Enterprise part came down the line. Not gonna notice.
