  3. The top surface on the hood ornament appears to have missed the polishing treatment on the tooling. I think I can correct mine by sanding smooth, and some BMF.

I would bet a holy grail that this series never sees it all the way from beginning to end. When one or more of the kits fails to reach a pie in the sky 34 zillion unit sales, the rest will be quietly forgotten. Nothing against Revell. This kind of thing just happens. Remember when we got Milner's Coupe, and the '55 Chevy from "American Graffiti"? We asked "Why no Toad's '58 Chevy?" The answer: "We'll see how the sales do on these." We never did get that '58 with the AG tie-in. Just because they say they will do something, doesn't make it carved in stone. Can anyone with some memory cells (leaves me out) recall any other series that never made it to the finish line?
  7. The Impression looks like the '36 version of Testors '38 Coupster.
  8. Cut out and swap sides on that C pillar, and it might not look so odd.
  9. By looking at it, there appears to be a dull surface. It's not like the surface of an orange. I cannot even feel the texture.
  10. All in all, just a minor adjustment of the 2010 design. Nothing much to see here, folks.
  11. It looks like there is a separate tree for brass parts. Looks to contain the grill, windshield frame, support rods, lanterns, etc. This looks like a great kit! So a kit of an antique car, with (I assume) a modern day price tag?

  13. Okay, (1): who hated the Camaro before the 2010 redesign, including the seemingly never ending spy shots through the latter half of the 2000's? (2): Who liked the Camaro up to the above mentioned redesign? (3): Who liked the 2010 Camaro redesign, but not diggin' this latest design reveal?
  14. Looks great. I've often wondered, of all the classic cars in garages, how many were not liked by their current owners when the car was new? We (as a whole) are so conservative. Especially on car styling. I see the new Camaro restyle so slight, it hardly noticeable (in my eye). Just minor tweaking. Not this Gawd awful restyle everyone makes it out to be. If I had a dollar for every new car that the masses claim to dislike, I would be rich.

  16. Wheelcovers on a steel wheel. So we get to choose whether to use them, or not. Not just a cover & wheel in one. What a concept! I love this country!
  17. The '49 would be the next logical extension for the Hudson Moebius line. And I hope they do. The question is, how much steam does the whole "Hudson" thing have left?
  18. There really is something about that Tesla. I can spot them coming up the street, blocks away. Must be something to do with that funky headlight signature. And Tom, you are a fortunate man to experience them.
  19. Trumpeter. The "Palmer Kits" of todays kit manufacturers. And when a Tucker kit finally comes along, (and it will) I hope it's offered by designers, engineers, tool makers, and artisans that can and will produce a knockout. Again, MOEBIUS! I'm looking at you!!!

  21. Sweet! Has some Chevy heritage in there. Although, just like Volkswagen and their New Beetle, it looks like it had to go with a front engine placement.

  23. Tucker kit? YES!!! OK, first, I’m certain there are other Tucker threads on here somewhere if you want to play archeologist, go for it. There is a thread on Hudsons, and it was sidetracking to Tuckers, so I thought I would start a new line. So a lot of us (ahem… a LOT of us) would very much like a kit of the Tucker. It has been requested ever since I took my second lap around the hobby block back in the late eighties. But it’s not going to happen. And if you understand the biz, you know why. Versions. They need to market several versions to make the tooling profitable. Yet the Tucker was a short lived car, with a production run of 50 units, and no real race heritage. What to do? Well, there are different versions: First, and obvious, is the original production Tuckers. Second, the New ’48 by Rob Ida with a twin turbo’d Cadillac Northstar. Third, the pre production “Tin Goose”. Fourth, a TUCKER 48 pulling the Gyronaut X1 Fifth, the one of none Tucker Convertible, built from leftover factory parts. Remember in the Hudson thread where Harry pointed out all of the kits like the Batmobile, Ala Kart, etc. that have no alternate versions? They sold. And I believe the Tucker could be marketed in more than one configuration. Hello? Moebius? I’m looking at you!
