  1. Awsome T, Dave! It took a while to get to the table, but worth it.
  2. Actually, it looks like it is posed in the open position.
  3. Actually, it's about models viewed on computers. No exclusive to one or the other here.
  4. I would have gone with 5-minute epoxy. If you get some where it shouldn't be, wait for partial cure, then peel it up with a toothpick. As far as not having any hobby shop nearby, you must have a hardware store? Most adhesives I buy are at the hardware store. These are adult model cars you are building, not toys. Time to step up and stock up.
  5. A screen shot of what I usually see as the typical Photobucket pic: A missing photo. At least Fotki, I have to go to my Fotki album to find several missing photos (and I do!) In other words, Photobucket disappears here, Fotki disappears in my albums. Either way...
  6. As Dave stated, lacquer almost always requires a clearcoat. If you are getting a milky haze in it, that may be a condition known as "blushing", caused by humidity. Back in the old days when dinosaurs roamed the earth and I worked in autobody, we would wait for the paint to dry, than buff out the haze. If not successful, a repaint was in order. But the clearcoat part... buy a compatible clear.
  7. Love it low, unchopped, and wide meats! Tired of tall, skinny tires w/ offroad stance.
  8. Christian- Here is that machine kit, built. I thought I was trading kit for kit, what I got was a built. All in all, didn't really matter to me.
  9. But... Craig bought a resin Tucker! So there will be a plastic kit.
  10. "Industrial, but classic". Maybe medium duty truck tires? These are from Modelhaus.
  11. If you cut & splice frame sections together, the more surface contact you have, the stronger the connection. Perhaps a "stepped" cut?
  12. The truck looks awesome! Just the right satin sheen, and clear photography. As for graphics, consider just enough for the look, without the obvious white star. maybe just some serial numbers? Or, nothing at all. Looks great as is!
  13. If you use a photo host site such as Fotki, it will automatically resize for you, and you will always have an easy to access photo album(s). Nice Ferd, btw! (Ford, Ferd, Ord, whateer!)
  14. I stopped at my LHS early in the week, nothing in stock. He phoned in the order for me while I was there, the supplier will strap a few to the shell of their UPS turtle... I may have one by the eighteenth.
  15. That body makes me think "Dodge Neon". Like to know what it was, maybe a few more pics?

    1 Fast Caddy

Oh, that looks good! So regret not buying one when I had a chance!
  17. I plan on painting my model in a Dupli-Color red metallic. I just wet-sanded the primer, it may get another coat or two of primer to deal with some imperfections, then in the dehydrator. I am wondering if a base coat of silver might be a good idea, even though the plastic is white? Would the silver help the red met as far as depth, and… ??? Is there any advantage to it?
  18. Ah ha! Now I see where you're coming from. But at a current Fotki collection of 87,841 photos, that would be a lot more work than I already have invested in my albums.
  19. I'm guessing right before the 2014 NNL East!
  20. It is kind of a barking dog, isn't it? If you want to section, me'es thinks a wedge or pie cut should be removed, more out of the front than the back. I also remember those headlights as "controversial", interesting how you will do this one up.
