  1. I suggest keeping it as is, but on the shelf. A constant reminder of what can happen when a model is grabbed quickly.
  2. Scott- these two rods... incredible! Can you please ID both for me? The purple one looks like a '33 Willys grille?
  3. Hey! I want in on this! I have the engine complete. Did the lowering on all suspension bits. Fabbed the front for posable wheels. Shortened the wheelbase so the rear tires (should) line up with the rear skirts. Still have to pick a color for the topside, chassis all set. I'll post progress pics soon. Oh, on part #29... "trap the exhaust and driveshaft in between frame and crossmember part #29". Well, you can if you want just glue that small crossmember to the floorpan. It has locating pins for that. That way you don't have the d-shaft & exhaust flapping all over the place as you line it all up and add glue. Just set down the two parts on top of floor & crossmember, and glue frame to floor. I have pics of that also.
  4. I remember about ten years ago or so, someone from Canada's Globe25 club came down to our Classic Plastic Show which was in Salem, NH that year. They did the Bonnie & Clyde death car. I will see if I can find the pics.
  5. Yeah, that IS sharp! My new best friend had an '09 SRT8 in TorRed. That's why they were my best friend! And I told them that!
  6. I have been watching the build process either here... or over there. REAL fine work, sir!
  7. Well, if scale accuracy isn't top concern, you can buy what I suspect was dollhouse scale items. If I was to do this again, I would make my own wood boxes, and make the fruit from FIMO clay.
  8. REAL sharp job! I think that's the first time I have seen hanging weatherstrip on a model!
  9. Make sure the cursor is not over the text choices as you type.
  10. Not so much for the Tatra, but sign me up for the rest! Even the Queen Mum's ride would be nice!
  11. I guess the one I am the most proud of would be my Edsel / MIR spoof
  12. It's restorations like this that make me glad to be a part of this board! Real sharp job!
  13. I'm guessing it's real. Or.. a model. Or I'll just wait, and see what everyone else says.
  14. Don't sell yourself short! That looks great!
  15. Oh, I think Larry would approve! That is so clean and sweet!
  16. I live in NH. Gas prices are having an effect on me to the point that I cannot afford to drive alone down to NJ for the NNL East. The only way I can do the trip is if I was splitting the cost of gas with others.
  17. Plastic tackle box may work out for you. I know someone who works on a fast food tray while watching TV! Not me, I couldn't do that, but for some it works.
  18. I use spray bombs for bodies. Airbrushes are great for spraying engine blocks. Model Master Black: Testors Honduras Maroon: Model Master Black: I don’t even remember which brand, but I do recall this was my second try. To shoot the translucent green over the yellow, I taped a cardboard mask to the roof that hung over the side midsection about ¼” off the surface. Day glo paint has no shine, so it must be cleared. Regrettably, I didn’t know about “silvering” at the time, wish I had clearcoated before I added decals.
  19. Nice build! Lots of well done mods too!
  20. Jaw... fell clean off, landed on the keyboard, and hit the "OMG!" keys! Real sharp!!!
  21. Hey! That's not fair! Not fair as in... I didn't know that!
  22. Must be dealing w/ helmet hair! How about a pic minus the helmet?!
  23. Lots of good things here that I wouldn't normally consider. Thanks all.
