  1. Wha? What am I missing? You said you do have a '61 Ranchero... why not use that for the engine bay, and whatever else you need? As for the six, I know they are out there, can't think of what kit. Ken Kitchen has it in resin too.
  2. I suspect the plug wires you are using are too big in diameter. When adding plug wires, a #74 drill bit is about right. Making a convincing dissy from scratch is tough. I just drilled 7 holes on the Hudson 6 dissy, I had to do this looking through a magnifying glass / lamp... old eyes not what they used to be. Good luck, and keep at it.
  3. Here is a side shot of the model. Curious if anyone else sees a wheelbase too long? To fix it will require altering the frame, floorboards, leaf springs, shock mounts, and driveshaft.
  4. The easiest? Well that would be one I don't need to build! A tip of the hat to Danbury & Franklin Mints. Next easiest would be the pre-paints. Here is a '34 Ford from Revell...
  5. The wheelbase seems to disagree with the fenderskirts, and after looking at it, I think the proper fix may be to bring the rear axle forward, rather than just rescribing the skirts. I am not sure how to go about it... that front yoke section on the axle contacts the driveshaft tunnel. Between the two is the crossbar for the shock mounts. If I could move all of it forward just 1/8" I think it would help. Any advice?
  6. Do want a Manx, but for once I don't care for the unique colored plastic. It will get painted.
  7. Sounds like the time is right for another company to look into the Daytona Coupe. It would be a welcome addition.
  8. Found a few Hudson ads on Hemmings, not all Hornets, but enough to help build the kit... http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/hudson/hornet/1263414.html BTW, does the Moebius kit represent the 7X "NASCAR" engine?
  9. Yeah... the mirrors are up that high so the driver can see what's on the roof! Signed; Debbie Downer
  10. C'mon! Another Corvette roadster without the hardtop and/or convertible up-top?
  11. Every time they announce new kits, at least one, if not more are dropped, usually due to "lack of pre orders". Which kit will it be this time?
  12. IIRC, we can now close our own threads. That needs to be mentioned. I didn't see the thread referred to, but by the description that is what it sounds like.
  13. I have Fotki, store literally thousands of pic on a paid for account. I do NOT recommend them. They have, and continue to lose my photos. It seems that every album I have (there must be over 100) has missing photos. Just a red X where the photo used to be. When I was new to the site, I would write to their service dept and ask where my pic was. It was confusing as they wanted a link to either the photo, or the page, but not both. Even then, they said there was nothing they could do. Now I have too many photos to transfer. I would like to hear from anyone else if they are missing any photos from Fotki.
  14. Darin, you 'done did good'!
  15. Kewl stuff, Cranky!
  16. Isn't it quite common for a kid to want to follow in their parent(s) footsteps?
  17. Do! Like!
  18. That would be because there is more... folks working on jobsites... than race car drivers.
  19. Hey! Now that I think of it, you can get Sombrero caps from the Modelhaus. Cost less than machined parts too.
  20. Nothing he could have done... to avoid the crash. RIP
  21. Nice bust out from the dry spell!
  22. Looks like the rear skirts are fine. It's the axle that needs to be moved forward... assuming the body to frame architecture is the same for the '49 to '54 years.
