1971 Jeep Rod
Zippi replied to Chuck Most's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Pretty kewl builds Chuck. Looks like what you might keep in the barn on the family farm and when there's a big get together you can all go out for a nice time tearing it up on the back 40. -

I appreciate it Buddy. I'm moving along. -
I'm heading to Hobby Lobby later and I'd like to pick up a tube of these beads for my 41 Chevy pickup build. I remember reading somewhere that Hobby Lobby had something close to what I'm looking for. Can someone that has bought these hexagon shaped beads at Hobby Lobby tell me what size I might be looks for? Thanks fellows.

One final mock-up to make sure everything looks like it should before the painting starts. I shot some primer on the box to make sure my body work had no flaws. I think I'm good to go. -

Thanks Greg. I did notice before I glued the firewall in the cab wanted to spring back when put in place and leave a gap. I went ahead and glued the firewall in place and now the cab acually snaps in place for a really nice fit with the hood as seen in the pics above. I can still get the dash in doing it this way. -

After playing around with the suspension for a few days I think I'm satisfied with the stance.....finally. I really like the looks of this 41 pickup now. I also got the Iceman 572 cleaned up and ready to paint. Can't remember if I mentioned it or not but I broke the pulley setup while cutting it off the tree so I contacted the Iceman about a replacement and it's on the way. -
Now that looks like a hand full for a 1/4 mile. Really diggin this one. Great looking model.

Great looking Drag Car. The decals look really good on that body color. I like the look with the inner fenders removed. Nice job.
