  1. I painted a body one time after it had just stopped raining and it did the same thing. This was before I knew about the humidity.
  2. Which clear and what do you mean it went flat?
  3. That turned out nice Tom. Can't wait to wet sand my 41 Willy's to see how much better the finish will be.
  4. What a nice looking little grocery getter. The paint is outstanding. Great job.
  5. That is a nice looking ride. Color looks great.
  6. Thanks Tom. I like the tape or card stock idea.
  7. Super nice work Mike. There is so much eye candy I don't know what to look at next ☺
  8. Being in Texas the AC would have to be a priority as the wife can't do without it. Mayb me too ☺ The setup your going for should look pretty slick. Keep us posted.
  9. I've seen a few new models hit the shelf's but pretty much the same old stuff. When I do see something new it's never there when I get there. I ask the lady at the check out about their ads and she told me they have nothing to do with the ads. It's all handled by the big boys.
  10. This is a really old thread but boy does this ride look pretty slick. Nice work Manuel.
  11. Your 57 is looking pretty trick Ray. That purple looks nice and deep. Decals are nice.
  12. Your buld is coming along nicely. The 1:1 CheZoom looks pretty kewl so can't wait to see your's finished.
  13. I know Mike faught this paint issue on his 55 pickup but it turned out great in the end after some hard work. It takes experience and talant to correct a major paint issue and Mike has both.
  14. That's one good looking o!d school dragster.
  15. Well that's something different Doug. Great color and nice work on the business end. Fantastic job.
  16. Thanks for the info Brian. I'm well aware of the humidity and the important roll it p!ays in painting. Don't ask me how I know. Today the humidity was 52% so for me that was ideal.
  17. Well.....I think the Rust-Oleum enamel and lacquer gloss clear coats lay down about the same and both are thin so running could be an issue if your not careful. One being an enamel and one a lacquer and they both can be we sanded so I think they are both great products. I think either one would be fine for clear coating a model.
  18. I got the body and hood clear coated. Two light coats, one medium coat, and one wet coat with 20 min flash time with each coat. I'll let this cure until the weekend then start the wet sanding.
  19. Just clearcoated the body and hood. Two light coats, one medium coat, and one wet coat with 20 min flash time on each coat. Came out pretty good. I'm going to let this cure until this weekend to make sure it's good and dry before I wet sand it.
