  1. Nice looking Brian. Now I'm taking a look at the corner of the garage next to my computer desk. I could move the cabinet and tool boxes. I have 32" from the desk to the wall and I could run the vent up the corner of the wall threw the ceiling. I need to think about this.
  2. Oh yeah Daniel. We all like new toys ☺
  3. Nice RRR. Looks like the higher end cardboard box ☺ I like it. Where are all the lids to your rattle cans dude?
  4. Thanks Daniel. I like it but it Looks more like a trophy than a airbrush. I have a new Paasche H that I really like.
  5. Daniel, is this the unit you bought? NIce looking and it all comes in a nice little box compressor and all. Let us know how it works.
  6. I use Rust-Oleum 2X flat gray
  7. I retired about 6 months ago so I try and do something on my model every day. I only work on one at a time. Not as much on the weekends when my wife is home.
  8. What Mike said Tom. Man.....why can't I lay down a paint job like that ☺
  9. If I haven't said it I do appreciate all the comments and help fellows.
  10. Aye-aye captain ☺ Just checking out the option right now.
  11. Dan. That's sounds great. I like the ones you can buy as they close up like a suitcase and I can stow it away when not using.
  12. I do use the Gloss Rust-Oleum (rattle can) and it gets sprayed outside only.
  13. Just subscribed to your channel.
  14. Thanks Dave. Just sent the wife a text to bring me a box home.
  15. Good idea dude. I'll do just that.
  16. Thanks for your input David. The acrylic paint has no smell that I have noticed. That's what I like about them.
  17. I guess wait for a sunny calm day and give it another shot hoping for better results.
  18. Got it sanded down, re-washed in Dawn, and re-primed. Came out fine.
  19. I hear ya dude. I haven't ready anything about any of these spray booths catching fire or anything else but I haven't been looking for it either. I just airbrush acrylic paints so I guess I'm good to go for now I guess.
  20. Thanks for the reply's fellows. I saw this one and was thinking about "You get what you pay for" but they are all just plastic with a metal box, fan, and cheap LED lights. Correct me if I wrong guys. https://www.wish.com/product/5f0ffb5df186e3467498733c?hide_login_modal=true&from_ad=goog_shopping&_display_country_code=US&_force_currency_code=USD&pid=googleadwords_int&c={campaignId}&ad_cid=5f0ffb5df186e3467498733c&ad_cc=US&ad_lang=EN&ad_curr=USD&ad_price=58.46&campaign_id=7203534630&gclid=Cj0KCQjwsqmEBhDiARIsANV8H3af8rl2hRDotmxP5ZeGakeMM_EAp7kOxyXC1biSp9020wlI5K6XBbgaAu-0EALw_wcB&share=web
  21. Ok fellows....here is a video and a few pics of the results of putting the test body in a tub of isopropyl alcohol for about 21 hrs. After cleaning the body up in hot water with Dawn dish detergent it looks pretty good. If I left it in a lot longer it may have taken more of the Rust-Oleum primer off as well but this is good for me. I'll just scuff it up and give it another coat of primer and call it a day.
  22. I've been airbrushing my models outside my garage door and the results or iffy at best. Without having a better controlled environment I can't really tell what's happening from the test I've been doing. I did a search on this site but it doesn't seem to work very well. I may be looking into a portable spray booth down the road. I can't leave it up all the time so I'll need something once I'm finished airbrushing that I can break down and stow away. There are ton's of these booths online for sale from $50 to $350 and I've read a lot of reviews about the fans not being strong enough, poor lighting with none replaceable lights, etc. Any suggestions/advise on brand, size, etc. from someone who owns and uses one of these spray booths would be appreciated.
  23. Looking nice Mike. I'd run the pipes all the way out the back if it were me. What did you make the mufflers out of?
  24. This is just after 2 hrs. Seems to be working pretty good. We'll see in the morning.
