  1. Looks great to me! A fine build of a classic car!
  2. Beautiful build! Super nice job!
  3. I built this simple, fun little kit straight from the box, except for some stowage packs and the headlight lenses, which I made from some clear sprue. The decal instruction sheet was in Japanese, which is Greek to me, so the markings I selected may not be appropriate for a grey vehicle.
  4. I love the Galaxies and I think you did an excellent job with this one! When you have a chance, perhaps you could post a bit more detail on how you went about making the decals - printer, paper, etc., and if there were any issues with applying them. Thanks!
  5. Nice! Love the color!
  6. Love it! Fantastic job in all respects! I distinctly recall the "station wagons" we had during my first childhood. In order of ownership they were, a Studebaker, a Ford Galaxie, and a Dodge Polara. When we'd go to the drive-in (this was in ancient times), we'd take a thermos of soda and bags of home-made popcorn and us kids would take over the back of the car. We had blankets back there, too, because we usually fell asleep before the third feature was over.
  7. This is straight from the box. I like the Tamiya armor kits because they look good and they keep the parts count to something reasonable. No weathering on this one, just some highlighting here and there with a silver pencil.
  8. Looks good! I have an original Monogram 1/32 release of the M3 Grant and the German Ostwind. The original boxes are long gone, but I saved the Shep Paine diorama sheet that came with the M3 and I still have both instruction sheets. (The unbuilt kits themselves are in plastic bags from an old line of local grocery stores that went out of business more than 50 years ago.) Actually, I think the rubber band tracks on the 1/32 kits aren't all that bad. I also had an original issue of the Screamin' Mimi, which I built, but that one met its demise at the hand of my Crossman pellet gun for the sake of a Super-8 film..
  9. Thanks! I have one of the AFV Club kits in my stash but avoided the Bronco kits for the very reason you mentioned - excessive parts count, a good many of which are very "fiddly" indeed.
  10. This was a difficult kit to build. Parts fit was lousy and several parts were warped. The build was mostly straight from the box, but this was one of my first attempts at using external stowage parts and detail accessories. I scratch built the simple ammo box holder on the glacis plate, and to mount the rucksack on the turret I drilled a mounting hole in the turret and fabricated a mounting peg out of plastic rod, which was glued to the inside of the rucksack. I cut off the original antennas, drilled out the mounting points, and made new antennas out of thin wire. I lost one of the stowage hooks on the turret and made a replacement part from scrap photo-etch sprue. I drilled out the front machine gun barrel with a pin. Decals are a combination of water-slide and dry transfers. Paint is Tamiya lacquer, but with no flat coat applied.
  11. I'd say you got the stance just right on this very nice build!
  12. Very nice indeed! Entire build is great, but an especially fantastic job on the engine bay!
  13. Really a gorgeous build! Super nice in every respect!
  14. Looks great to me! I love the overall color scheme and I think the stance is just right. Nice paint as well!
  15. I had this Tamiya kit for over 35 years before finally finishing it. After getting a good start on it, back in the box it went for several decades before completion. For the body, I used the only paint I had on hand – Testors red spray enamel. Most of the decals were unusable, but I salvaged a few. I cut the side windows out and fabricated a new rear window from clear sheet plastic. I brush coated it with Future floor polish.
  16. Amazing work! Stunning paint! About as close to perfection as you can get!
  17. Pretty wild stuff! (Courageous Cat was supposedly created as a spoof of Batman, by none other than Batman co-creator, Bob Kane.) Nicely done!
  18. Nice!
  19. Fantastic build! As mentioned by others, love the color and the detailing of the engine!
  20. Great job! Love the color!
