  1. Wheels and tires look great. And I love that paint. It's a really nice kit, I just finished one also in green. Got another one in my stash waiting on me.
  2. Some interesting facts about the Charger in the movies. They were 3-5 cars used. The first shot of the car in Dom's garage has a 592 Hemi that was only used for that shot, after that it was returned to the builder. The actual engine used in the movie was a 440 Big Block with a fake blower, and the sound was not from that engine, it was recorded from a Hemi and used in the movie.
  3. I think light green looks good on the Mopars. Think I will go with it. Got some of the engine done.
  4. Hot Rod is looking sweet.
  5. Thank you Trevor. Thanks.
  6. Thanks David. Thanks Bob. Thank you. Thank you. Thanks David. Thanks Chaz.
  7. This is the Dodge Charger from the Fast and Furious movies. Nice looking kit, but I don't know if I'm going to paint it black like it was in the movies. Hope to start on it soon. All comments welcome. Thanks for looking.
  8. Calling it done. Photos under glass. Thanks all for the comments and for following the build.
  9. I built this one about a year ago and it was dropped and broken, so I just put it back in the box. A few weeks ago I decided to get it out and do something different with it. I got in beyond my abilities but went ahead and done what I could with it. I wanted to lower it so I followed a great tutorial in the tips section by Ace-Garageguy. I Z'ed the rear to get it down and cut down the mounting area of the front axle to get it down. That went ok, but then I decided to channel it also which involved more than I bargained for. But I did the best I could with it and this is it. I think it came out ok, but as you can see I forgot about lowering the radiator so it sticks up a little higher than the body. Anyway I think it came out ok, and I learned a lot along the way. Paint is Testors Green Metallic enamel. All comments welcome and thanks for looking.
  10. Hobby Lobby 40% off today. There was a lady resetting the shelf, removing some kits and adding some. I asked if they were getting in new kits, she said yes. I got this one, never saw it there before so I guess it's new. Saw a few other new ones, all Revell, 67 Corvette Coupe, 57 T-Bird and a Porsche 911.
  11. Beautiful little hot rod Ken.
  12. The colors in my photos seem to be off here lately. Maybe something going on with my camera. But I know about those senior moments, have them every day.
  13. Looks great Ken, love the paint. I've built 2 of these and have another one waiting on me.
  14. Thanks Jim. The interior is Tamiya black with dash and steering wheel the same green as the body. Thanks Joe. Appreciate it.
  15. Ok, made some progress. Got the modified interior done. Got some paint on, it's Testor's metallic green enamel. I lowered the steering box a little which gave me enough room to get the Hemi in. But in the process I broke the steering rod off. I will make a new on with some wire and try to get it in place of the old one. I got the stance about where I want it, now to just finish this thing up.
  16. Thanks Joe.
  17. Thanks Jim. I did run into the problem with the steering box, not sure how I'm going to fix it yet. It's odd though, this hemi is the kit engine for the non coupe version, but the instructions do not show a steering box install on that version. I guess I could leave it off, but I don't know. Still having a lot of problems because I don't know what I'm doing. May put it back in the box and start another build and come back to it later.
  18. Thanks Bob.
  19. Thank you Carl. Thanks. Thank you. Thanks. I noticed the antenna did look too big. I'll remember that next time.
  20. Looks great.
  21. Your 32 is looking sweet.
  22. Back on it. Got the engine done. Now to do something with the rest of it.
  23. Thanks Mike. Thank you. Thanks Mario. Thanks Bob. Yea, she really likes it. Thanks. It does look a little more orange in the photos for some reason. I took the photos with light coming in a window, no flash or other lights. Could be my camera, I need to check the settings. Thanks. Yes I did. Thanks, yea she loves it. Thank you. Thank you David. Thanks.
  24. My wife wanted me to build this, and wanted it pink. It's a nice kit, went together well, nice details. Paint is Tamiya X-17 pink. Lots of small fiddly parts can easily slip out of your fingers and get lost, I did drop a few but managed to find them. All comments welcome and thanks for looking.
  25. Calling it done. Will put photos under glass.
