  1. Put on some Tamiya x-22 clear, came out ok. I had to build the interior panels as one unit along with the dash and then squeeze them into the body. Test fit went ok after that, but I didn't have the firewall installed, so I've got to try it again. The paint for some reason looks more blue than green in this photo.

    57 Chevy

Nice. I've built one, been thinking of building another one.
  3. Beautiful 57. Nice work.
  4. Thanks Jim. Actually those bomber seats are part of the kit. They are used in the channeled version. I like the Model A's also. I've done 2 of the Revell 29s and have another one not built yet. I have a 32 5 window that needs rebuilding.
  5. HL 40% off week. My wife has always liked the old VW bug so I got it for her. She wants it painted pink.
  6. Engine looks good. I have 2 of these kits, the roll out and a Chase Elliot Napa. I've been putting off starting one because the instructions do look daunting. I'll be following your build.
  7. Thanks Carl.
  8. 49 Merc is looking good Bob.
  9. Thanks Jim. I think I about got it figured out. I did get the chassis almost done, just need to add the front shocks. The stance looks like it may be a little too wide, but I'm going with it.
  10. Thanks everyone. I think it will be ok, but I am testing it on a spoon. Sprayed one with the testor's enamel a few days ago, and shot the x-22 on it this morning. I'll see how it turns out.
  11. Got the grandkids visiting so I'll take a couple days off. When I get back on it next week I'm going to have to figure it out, probably have to take the panels back off and install them in the body first.
  12. Would I be ok using the Tamiya X-22 acrylic clear over Testor's small bottle enamel. I've only used it over Tamiya's acrylics before.
  13. Looking really good. The 60's model Camaros are one of my favorite Chevys. Remember seeing a lot of them around where I grew up back in the day.
  14. Ok, I have ran into a problem. Step 8 of the instructions shows the interior panels being installed on the frame/interior floor. This is for the B version. Trying to do a mock up and there is no way the body will fit over those panels especially with the firewall installed. The A version part show those interior panels being installed in the body. Has anyone built the B version and how did you do it. I guess I will now have to try and remove those panels and install them in the body, but not sure how that rear panel is going to fit like that.
  15. Thanks David. Thanks Chaz.
  16. Thanks Jim. Yea, I really don't follow any type style or plan, just whatever looks good to me. I wanted some wider tires and different wheels, tried a few I had and settled on those. Probably not period correct or anything as far as style, but if I like it then I'm good. The rest will be OOB built, just kinda mixed and matched between the A and B versions.
  17. Thanks Bob. I think those are centerline wheels, they came out of the AMT 55 Chevy kit. Thanks Carl. Thanks. It is Testor's Gloss Teal Enamel in the small square bottles.
  18. Got the engine ready. I'm going with the channeled version but using the fuel injection system. Thinking about using some different wheels and tires.
  19. Thank you. Thanks Mike. Thank you.
  20. That's looking really nice.
  21. Nice. Engine looks great.
  22. It's looking great. I like that stance, that's the way we did them back in day, jacked them up. Those Cragar wheels are really nice. I've seen this kit at HL, I need to get one.
  23. Very nice. Great colors.
  24. Looking good. I like those skirts.
