  1. I love using automotive urethanes. There is so much more pigment in the paint for such vibrant colors, and the clears polish out like glass. Lots of quality brands, but House of Kolor is an amazing paint.
  2. @Mike F. Not a problem. I'm going through all my online photo albums right now and cataloging all my pictures.
  3. @70 Sting Your color combination is just stunning on the body, and the interior color contrast is perfect. The entire build is so clean and crisp and well detailed. I'm using those colors some day. So, so nice ?.
  4. @misterNNL I was just going through those today, so I can post some in the next few days for you .? I have hundreds of pictures because it took me 7 years to build it, so I'll pick out a few for you. I had to build my way in to enough skills to finish it, beginning in 1998 ?.
  5. @chris chabre No problem. Any other questions anyone ever has I'll be glad to help.?
  6. @chris chabre The ol' dinosaur brain thinks they came from a 1965 Buick Riviera kit, or the silhouette Show car kit. I bought several of both at one time just for the wires ?. I used to get them for $5.00 each back in the day. Not so cheap anymore ?.
  7. @StevenGuthmiller I love the "Bling". CONGRATULATIONS!!! I love all your builds, but that 1958 Ford 'vert in blues just "Grabs" me. I love it !!! I'm building a '57 Ford 'vert to look identical - well, not as good as yours, but I need that "LOOK" in a case where I can see it in my model room man cave, where I build.
  8. What a beautiful, cleanly built car. Your paint and foil work are immaculate. Yes, as someone here said earlier, WE NEED MORE STOCKERS.
  9. @TarheelRick That's funny. I get reminded every time I look in the mirror .
  10. @misterNNL I think it was from R&R. It was a nice kit. All I added was the wheels and tires and fender ornaments.
  11. @Bills72sj I used the resin chassis that came with it.
  12. @TooOld I totally agree!!?
  13. @89AKurt All of my genuine automotive urethane paint work I spray with a cheap Testors air brush. Mostly House of Kolors. I tried the expensive guns and wasn't co-ordinated enough to use a double-action air brush. $25.00 at Hobbytown many moons ago, and my old 20 something year old compressor from Harbor Freight is still running like a jewel.
  14. Thank you Atin @Funkychiken It is nice to be back, and you other builders are truly amazing with such beautiful workmanship from so many. Nice to be in such great company again on such a great forum ?.
  15. WOW ? Not only is your car wild but so is his hairdo. Seriously, your build took some insanely cool imagination and skills to pull that one off ? The paint is just crazy.. Love it.
  16. @Claude Thibodeau Yeah, it doesn't really fit into any catagory, but I sure had some "Goofy" fun building it. A lot of modeling tastes have changed over the years too. I'm just a modeling dinosaur havin' a good time.
  17. I hear you. My boy likes to buy and sell things and is good at it, so I'm leaving all I have to him, and some of what I have is pretty valuable, so those will be a part of his inheritance. I can enjoy them now, and when I'm gone they'll help him out.
  18. I haven't a clue where the idea's for this came from or why I built it, but I had way more fun that one man should be allowed to (Rush Limba?). Anyway, this is the latest bug body (1999??) that for some reason I went kinda off the wall crazy on. I don't normally build things like this. The "Shovelnose" frontend I scratched built, and also scratched up the rear of the car, and the side panels, and molded the fenders around the Dub City "beastly large" tires and wheel sets. I painted the car with House of Colors silver metalflake and coated it with Organic Green candy urethane, and the yellow stripe on the drivers side over the left fender I painted on, so I could use the decals I chose, then buried it all deep in clear-coat. Crazy fun project. ,
  19. I see why you call yourself @cobraman." That's quite a stack. We don't need a cure for our sickness. We're having too much fun.
  20. YIKES!!! That is just gorgeous. Real Italian leather...that's amazing!!! Not enough words to say what a beautiful model you've presented here for us all to enjoy.
  21. I'd build everything I've got....if I had enough time left. But just having them.....ohhhweee!!!
  22. @Snake45We all have a sickness, that I hope they never find a cure for ?
  23. @StevenGuthmiller Yeah. I know how that goes. But one day you'll be an old guy builder like many of us, and everything you bought you were going to build....someday ?.
  24. I get that about amassing a stash. I don't buy kits anymore - ran out of room ?
