@bbowserThank you. The type of hinge I create makes all the difference. Everything is brass and fits really well.

So in the 2nd set of pics, the sleeper side of the car is revealed.. The interior came from another kit and was somewhat modified to fit, and something more than stock was slid under the hood, with a shortened 1969 Camaro chassis used, to hold it all together. I added some more pics from the 1st post, because they show off my curb feelers I thought was so cool, and better pics of my hand made period "air conditioner." And I hope you like the dust on the roof. I forgot to wipe all the lint off before the pics were taken ?.

As anyone knows who has worked on this kit, it's a challenge. I wanted the body a nice looking stock version with a continental kit, 2 tone paint, a hand made window cooler, and it had to have a speed knob, or "Necking knob", and a set of "Curb feelers" for the period, to go with the whitewalls, and period hubcaps. The rear wheel well openings had to be hand crafted, and the frond end had to be glued together with the rest of the body to look stock, and body molding that wasn't there, had to be remolded for that stock look. The ol' girl needed some bumpers with gravel guards, so I found some pieces that would sorta work with a little massaging. Doors needed to be re-hinged, as the plastic hinges left a lot to be desired. I like colors, as an artist, so the body has 3 colors including the continental kit and 2 more colors for the interior - 5 colors, perfect for someone who likes contrast, and yet wants something kind of sedate and classy looking. There's a little more to that, but hopefully I figure out more about using this program, so I can share a few more things. I hope you don't mind the dust on the top, I forgot to dust it before taking pics ?. Here's a start

@Bills72sj Been doing this for years with enamel colors I like, not available in acrylics. There is a way to do it that's pretty simple, when you know about paint chemistry.
-
@Hoffman Quite the project to take on and stay with, even after a break for a year. Still nice progress, on a complicated build. Been there several times on builds like this, and a break is always nice, to work on something way more simple.

WOW!!! The colors are beautiful. I really like the contrast, and the interior colors go well with the exterior. Very clean and crisp build and detailing ?. It looks showroom fresh !!!. Dave

@radiohd10 Great job on a model getting rarer. Nice job on all the detailing, and the dash modifications. That's a tiny 8 track tape ?.

Hi Dave @dave branson I like this. Built right out of the box, with your choice of paint, that looks really nice, and I like the wheels, that probably came with the kit.

Beautiful in triple black, and love the engine details and all the great foiling. Nice job. Dave

Hi Claude @Claude Thibodeau I've been an artist all my life and just absolutely love bright colors and contrast. Once in a while you'll see me post a single color car, but most of the time I'll use 2 , 3 or 4 colors in a build, and/or use colors in the details to make a car "POP" a little more. As far as being a sculptor, like colors, I love being a "putty thrower" ? (Using body fillers). There is something so enjoyable, (Maybe even cathartic,) about painting colors, and reshaping a car, or scratch-building. I just love this hobby, and seeing other peoples work, and being here is a real treat for me. Have a great Sunday, Dave

@Claude Thibodeau Remember, I built this as a curbside with no chassis, so there were a lot more options for me to work with. I built this as more of a styling study, than a completely detailed build. I have several builds I have done that with, to just get a look I wanted, without building a complete car with chassis and engine. A couple I did even without body lines, to give the car a smoother more streamlined look, and to just focus on the design. I have fun with no boundaries for building. Best regards, Dave

@Koellefornia Kid The sedan kit is a nice one Oliver. I have several more waiting for some love. Cool that this was your first kit. It's a nice one?. I have at least one other that I built closer to stock, and was happy with that one too.

Hi Claude @Claude Thibodeau Good to hear from you again. To start answering your questions, I had to clear the rear tires by cutting away part of the body first, if I remember right, the body had a panel where the wider tire went, so I had to grind that away with my Dremel, and then I had to cut away part of the tire to clear the interior tub corner. When I lengthened the front fenders to match the body being lengthened, I raised the front fenders a bit in the process, and that seemed to help address the fender problem, and look of the car, and allowed me to lower the car more in the front. A fun project with some fun challenges. I hope I answered your questions well enough Claude. More than happy to answer an more questions you or others might have.

Thanks Jim @Jim Whalen

Hi Josh @Venom The colors in these photos can fool us sometimes. That pin stripe that goes around the body is from a roll of WHITE 1/64 tape I got at our local Hobbytown.

Thanks Steve @Intmd8r Once in a while everything comes together just right.

Posted for @Claude Thibodeau This is one of my favorite cars of the 1934 fords. This one is a curbside. Not many of these were made, so it's a real treat to go to a car show and see one This one was lengthened threw the cowl and fenders, and the grill was laid back a tad. The chopped side windows on each side were made up of 11 pieces each, to get the look I wanted, and the top was hand-made. I love the color of burnt copper metal flake, on this '34, so you'll see it show up every once in a while, on other cars, like on the '61 Dodge Phoenix. Any way, enough talk.

@Steve HNo problem Steve. I forget about those background cars being there. It won't be too long and it'll be there for ya ?. I have a nicely decorated man cave/ model building room, that is decorated with my favorite models I've built, and unbuilt kits with the box-art I love to look at, and about 75 of the 150 -200 finished models, and models out to be finished that I love so much to just sit and look at sometimes, and love to be surrounded by. I'm a plasti-holic and love every minute of it.

@Venom Those in the back ground will be shared here one of these days ?.

@Koellefornia Kid Thank you much. This hobby is such an enjoyment. I'm sure you and everyone agree. What would we do without our toyzz??

@Koellefornia Kid Thanks so much. I had so much fun updating the style of the the Munster Koach. Dave
