  1. @jchrisf I recommend you go on his profile and message him, if you get no response ?. He's always really helpful. Really a great person!!
  2. I make some of my decals in an antiquated sort of way, but "TooOld" is the one to message, and maybe get what you need. He's good. He has a technique that works really nice. He hasn't been around in a while, but you can find him on the 3rd page of WIP: Model cars, under 1960 Dodge Phoenix Convertible. If anyone can help you, I recommend him. Good luck!!
  3. I love it when a plan comes together. Who would have thought an idea like this would come out so amazing. Love the Mopar Sonoramic long tube induction. Great touch, as are so many other of your idea's Builds like this don't come around that often. Thanks for sharing it ?
  4. Boy that's a nice looking Pontiac. I love the body colors you choose. More pics would have been nice, to see more details and see the interior and engine. I had a Factory super stock '60 Ventura back in the day. That was a nice car to drive, and boy it was fast.
  5. @bogger44 Boy is that a '60's racer. Brings back a lot of great memories Reminds of my weekends at Irwindale Raceway, and Riverside Raceway, and a few others in SoCal. Those were the days.
  6. I love how this project is moving forward ?.I have a painted project of similar "ILK". Narrowed Studee"Whomper". Still has a lot of finishing left to do, but I'll get there eventually.
  7. @showrods When I bought a new computer and had the pics moved, I lost some pics in the process. I have a few here, but none of the body work in progress. I included pics of the Chrome pieces back from the plater. You can see where the side spears were removed and the front fender well chrome and the rear fender chrome moldings were removed and backed up with sheet plastic for replacing the pieces. In the front view you can see a sheet of plastic that was added to keep the fenders level with each other, and be the beginning of the radiator support brace.
  8. Thanks so much to both of you. @Phildaupho I to used to read Marks articles and those comments on peoples builds years ago, like yourself. Fun things to remember ?.
  9. I love the colors and the excellent attention to detail, and the clean execution. Beautifully done in all respects ?.
  10. Thanks to all of you ?. So nice we can share this wonderful hobby together ?.
  11. Very nicely done @Tommy124. The beautiful realistic diorama competes pretty heavy for attention also. That is very well done too.
  12. Thanks all of you. This is a fabulous hobby, and I'm happy to be a part of it.
  13. I love those old stock ragtops. Cars will never look like that again, and I think they are beautiful.
  14. @Claude Thibodeau Thank you my friend. I am amazed that we are so blessed to have such an amazing hobby to enjoy.
  15. Great job ? Welcome to the hobby and the forum ?.
  16. @Claude Thibodeau Not a problem Claude. I'm looking forward to more of your builds ?.
  17. @doorsovdoon Thanks so much ? @christian-w Thank you. I would love to get my hands on a Lark Wagoneer ?.
  18. Thank you @Steve Geer. I much appreciate your comments. She was fun to build. I love this hobby.? @EngineerBob Thanks so much ? I do love using body fillers and doing some sculpting at times.
  19. This was one of those cars I wanted to do a few things I hadn't done before, so on this IMEX Caddy Eldorado Biarritz kit, I cut the front fender chrome spears from the body, and also cut the large rear moldings/wheel opening chrome, from behind the rear tires, and removed the front wheel well trim from the body, and sent them to a chromer to be plated. While those parts were gone, I took the roof off a Revell Chezoom kit and fitted it on the caddy body, and beings that the Chezoom was a "Full builder kit" with interior, I also modified the interior to make it fit in the caddy body. The hood wasn't long enough for me, so I stretched it a bit, and hinged it, so the under hood would work for me. The front fenders and doors, from the headlights to the sweetheart dip, needed to be rounded like Cheezoom, so some body filler took care of that, along with stretching the doors to the dip , and reshaping the rear of the door line, rounding it a bit and angling it back, and the tail lights were moved from the body to the bumper. Next, I mixed up a custom urethane peach pearl, and after prepping the body with urethane primer, gave her some color and then several coats of clear, before rubbing her out, and then put her all together.
  20. I , like everyone else here, love your "OCEAN LINER", in all it's glory. The contrasting interior with the woodgrain, gives it the bling that the ol' girl deserves. Great job, on a stunning example. You did good my friend. I wish it was on my shelf ?.
  21. Boy, this sure has a nice look to it. I built one of these last year and never thought they could look so good in this color combination, with the nice colored tri-tone interior, and the engine looks great also. Very nice clean build ?.
  22. @Claude Thibodeau Thanks. Nice to hear from you. Good eye Claude ? The VW Hebmuller conversion you asked about in the background, does have drilled out Cord wheels. Why I chose those I'll never know, but they worked for me. Fun stuff this hobby.
  23. @Claude Thibodeau "ABSOLUTELY ?!!
  24. @TC Very nice job on an ultra-classic Ferrari. This one, and the NART 275 are 2 of my favorites.?
  25. Hey Bob @TooOld Chassis work is really looking good. Just got back to this part of the forum. Been busy with outdoor projects. Not much modeling so far this summer. Watching you on this project makes me want to get mine out. After I get the hood open, it'll start working on the Dodge Sonoramic Commando 413 long cross-ram - Love that engine!!
