  1. Real nice, great engine!
  2. I often wonder how others build. I know some are easily distracted (squirrel) with many started and unfinished kits while others have a ‘shelf of doom.’ 99% of the time I start one kit and stay with it until completion. Your method appears to maximize bench time. Your last two sentences really resonated with me… hoping you are not alone under unfortunate circumstances. Covid and it’s affect on work/life balance has been an eye-opener that has made me… well, you said best above. ?
  3. I like police cars… as long as they’re not in my rear view mirror. Another nice build Grumpy. Would you say you complete one model per month?
  4. Those aren't my prints, those are from the designer here are my prints. Your parts look good to my untrained eye. Along with the tips from Spike, I’m looking forward to working with them.
  5. Hi Charles, I suppose I wasn’t very clear, I was referring to the photos here - in particular the rear right photo in grey primer. Spike has done a fabulous job with your parts. In fact, I placed my order earlier this afternoon. :^)
  6. Thanks for the detailed reply Spike. Looks like it was worth blending the fenders to the body as it eliminated the bolt-on look which I find kind of weird on some kits.
  7. My first ‘32 built in October of this year - painted Mr. Color Mr. Metal Violet Metallic GX207 over Tamiya LP-1 Gloss Black and clear coated with Mr. Color GX100. Had a few fitment issues, however I’d build another one. :^)
  8. Good lookin' Vette, nice finish.
  9. Haven’t seen one built like this before… looks great - body and engine!
  10. Yep, that’s nice.
  11. Very clean build. Excellent work on the wood textures.?
  12. That looks Uber Cool! ? Interesting timing as just yesterday I was researching at a VW Bug built with Texas 3D parts when I came across the Camaro conversion kit you’ve built here. The conversion kit parts on their website looked a little rough but you’ve meshed them beautifully. ?? You mention that it was a challenging build, is there anything in particular a builder should watch out for? Thanks for sharing.
  13. Oooh, pretty engine bay. ?
  14. Nice clean build. Great engine. Would love to see more of that interior.
  15. Beautiful paint. Fantastic engine. I’d consider displaying the car upside down to show underside. ?
  16. I does have the Iron Man vibe. ? Appreciate the link to your build thread as I have one in my stash. ?
  17. Great detail work in that engine bay. ?
  18. That is NICE! Are those aftermarket decals? Excuse me while I run out to purchase this kit…
  19. Great looking build. ?
  20. Hey Rich, I was not aware this kit is available in a Martini livery… I’ll bet those two ? look great sitting beside each other on your shelf. I really like your use (and great job ) of carbon fibre. Oh yeah, and those giant decals running full length down the sides scare the poop outta me. ? Thanks for sharing!
  21. I think it might have been you who warned me a number of months ago about this paint. ? I have to say, I might be a fan of their Aqua Gloss. No thinning, goes on flat and washes up with water.
  22. Thanks espo. Because the car can be displayed with the top off, I felt it was worth a little extra effort.
  23. Funny, I wasn't really into this build as I got off to a rough start. The pieces fit perfectly (engine cover excluded) and I'm sure you'll enjoy the build.
  24. Thanks Tommy. I used a 0.5mm needle at 15 psi. and followed the instructions on the bottle. It goes on quite wet so be careful how far you pull back on the trigger. No polishing but I did use Tamiya's Modeling Wax. This stuff can be applied over the entire body including the windows. It's supposed to protect the finish and repel dust. I saved your link in case I build this kit again some day. The components look like they reattach quite well. ?
  25. Thanks Rick. I'd be interested to see how your pair turned out. Any issue with the engine cover? How did you find the engine cover decals? I wouldn't be opposed to building another one in the future... perhaps in a more traditional colour.
